How fantastic would that be but I can't see him beating ding especially if ding plays like he has been. Could be over with a session to spare. I think Selby will also win comfortably as well. It will depend how much the matches in the quarters have taken out of McManus and fu.

People moan about Dennis banging on about golf but to be fair he has left it until halfway through the first frame today

To announce some much needed schedule changes from the Monday last 16 up to the Saturday conclusion of the semi finals with everything for those 6 days played 1 session earlier?

It would give the 2 finalists an extra session to recover a little bit from a highly demanding schedule before the final, enough so that we may see some more enjoyable finals than some of the mistake ridden finals between 2 shattered players we have seen in recent years with the final played so sharply after the semi finals.

Unlikely I know, more likely the announcement is to confirm that the world championships will be staying at the Crucible.

Ding looking frighteningly good.

Might be another frame after Alan's last shot.

Dave Hendon just announced on air that Eurosport has secured a 10 year deal to broadcast snooker, including the World Championship qualifiers. He didn't use the word "exclusive" so I imagine Barry Hearn hasn't given them exclusivity.

I guess this was the "big announcement" planned for 14;00 today.

It'll be good to see the qualifiers given some proper coverage.

Angles getting mangled atm.

Most the recent finals have been fine, Bingham v Murph was superb quality, Selby v ROS a high standard, Ronnie and the Hawk hit tons for fun, etc

It pretty much was. However, this is for most of Europe excluding the UK, where they don't have exclusive UK rights to the following:

UK Championship
Masters
Welsh Open
World Championship
Snooker Shoot Out
World Grand Prix
Players Championship

I'm guessing that the three Triple Crown events stay on BBC, Welsh Open on BBC Wales and the last three of the list on ITV4.

Positive has to be the World Qualifiers getting proper coverage - especially after how Angles and Ding managed this time around!!

Would be nice to see the qualifiers. Hope they not blocked here in the UK

Good news - especially the World Qualifiers being given proper exposure.

It'll keep Rolf Kalb (Eurosport Germany) busy for a while then!

I don't really mind ITV4 retaining exclusivity for their events, they, at least cover them properly unlike the BBC who hide the Welsh event away on BBC Wales, and omit to tell viewers outside Wales that it is available on BBC Wales through Sky / Freesat.

When ding plays like this he's unstoppable. No one can beat him. Alan has to punish him when ding starts to miss which I'm sure he will at some point. No way can he keep this up all the way through this semi.

100, 84, 131, 62 and 100 in 5 frames

Not really sure why ding is carrying on. All this is doing is helping Alan.

Wonder if Ding will beat the record number of tons for a World SF - he's on 3 already and the record is 5.

Frame 8 looks like another ton fest, unless he gets the cue ball badly out of position.

He's unstoppable today.

Because the BBC don't advertise and plugging Sky and Freesat would be. It's as simple as that. That's why they say 'connected services'

Ton number 4 of the match for Ding. X-box snooker when he's in close.
