Scrappy but entertaining, IMO.

Angles might have to wave the white flag and surrender at this rate. Any mistake he's making is getting punished

Doesn't help that he's trying match ding by going all out which isn't the strategy against a player that's clearing up when he comes to the table. Alan should be keeping it tight and trying to knock ding out of his rhythm. If it continues like it is then it'll be over with a session to spare.

I find the onesie Tartan rompersuit distracting to say the least.

I think ding has missed more in this frame than in the whole match.

Ding right off the boil at the moment

Haha Angles finally got his round the table black trick shot right this time! Great session of snooker this, 3-3 on the day...

Alan's is called angles but is he any better than the others when it comes to angles personally I think he is so maybe that nickname should be dropped.

McManus is in the match at last.

It's funny the psychology of it isn't it - if Angles had made a frame winning one visit break Ding probably would have just shrugged it off. But then having missed an excellent chance himself suddenly it's really going to hurt. Yet the frame score still remains the same either way.

If this ends up 9:7 it would be a disaster for ding. He's definitely gone off the boil. I'm sure though the next session he'll regroup and stretch the lead again.

9-7 it is.

Unbelievable performance by Angles though, where he's produced this from heaven only knows - he seldom played this well at his supposed peak!

Ding needs to look at it like, I'd have been happy leading 9-7 after two sessions before he game started, remember he was playing like a dream for the first third of the match, and go again. Should be a brilliant evening session, whereas let's face it if he was 12-4 ahead or something it would have probably been a procession.

Brilliant from Angles to fight back like that. Game on indeed!

8 tons in 16 frames . Amazing standard

Incredible performance from Alan. Helped by ding going off the boil but Alan still had to produce the goods and he did just that. Tonight should be interesting.

Don't know, he's on a roll, he could grind Ding down, does his match finish tonight ?

Despite his natty trews I find Alan strangely humourless and dour, he barely cracks a smile.

Not unless Ding wins all eight frames lol. It'll conclude tomorrow afternoon.

I think it's that the other players have improved. Certainly if last night's two escapes are anything to go by. Angles Selby, and Angles Fu.

Has there ever been 4 tons in a 'mini-session' do you know

That is the best I have ever seen Alan play - what a match this is now - a truly remarkable standard of snooker!

Yes, unless you mean purely at the Crucible?

Should maybe change it to 'Celts' given the assocation of Angles with England.
