He's in so many episodes, compared to other characters, like Ben, Jay, Cindy, Abi, Shabnam, Masood and many more for examples, yet he does so little. Such a boring and dull character. I really hope his contract isn't extended next year. So pointless.

Has anyone else noticed he's in so many episodes or is just me?:/.

Lee has not been developed as a character.

I think him & Whitney might be writen out by the end of the year now, they'll probably move away toghether. I've liked many of Whit's past SL's but along with lee shes now become a background character that brings nothing to the table anymore. Imo she hasnt really being interesting since that moving 2 hander episode with Kat in summer 2013 & then her decision to start her career as a teaching assistant, that was definitely more watchable stuff.

The actor who plays Lee, has just signed a new contract.

The writers must be able to come up with a suitabel storyoine storyline for Lee and Whitney.

Agreed. Maybe a story is coming up. I think that there's a reason, why they have started to include more scenes, with Whitney and the rest of the Carters.

You would hope so.

Cindy, Shabnam and Abi get plenty of screen time to be fair.

Hopefully. I think they could have done something with Lee's anger and made a domestic violence story between him and Whitney. A wasted chance of a story for them both.

This is the route they should go down.

Really dull character and the actor seems to be going downhill rather than improving with time.

Shona and Whitney are dragged down by him.

I love the idea of a domestic abuse story though.

I think it's called exposition - the character that "exposes" new leads/storylines/information etc. to further the plot or even create a new plot. At least, that's what he seems to me.

Agreed. He should be used. Mick, Linda and Shirley need less of the focus.
Let lee and Nancy shine and have those three as supporting roles for a while. Also so many other characters need to be used. Shirley,
Mick, Linda, buster (although he is new), Tina and Dean need less of that screentime and less of the non-adult Carter screentime should be given to the Beales/core Mitchell's/Mitchell sisters if this is how they are going.

I agree. Hopefully it will be revisited in the future.

I wouldn't want them to go down the domestic violence route, with Lee and Whitney.

Trouble is its like past characters like Tyler Moon and Joey Branning, shows early promise by being a bit of a edgy laddish character but then meets a girl and quickly becomes another boring background character stuck in a dull relationship and as a result never gets any decent material.

Lee would be much better cast as a bit of a dodgy geezer bad boy type perhaps with a bit of a violent temper. The nice guy devoted boyfriend thing isn't working for him at all.

Because he's a likeable young male character? the sort EE rarely finds.

I don't really see the point of Lee. When he first came in, I thought they'd put him in a PTSD storyline or put him with Shabnam, but really he's done nothing . He has no defining personality and his relationship with Whitney is a bit of a non event . I don't hate the character but think his screen time could be put to better use.
