Whatever happened to her? Her music and voice was great!

Her songs were actually very different and had a folk sound! She could of been as big as Adele and Sam Smith.

Originally she was bigger than Adele when their debut albums came out around the same time in 2008, but then she had a fall out with management and a disastrous second album, whereas Adele released 21 and became a global superstar.

Warwick Avenue is one of my all time favourite songs.

It's better than anything Adele has ever released in my opinion

I remember her and I still listen to her two albums. There are actually some good songs on her second album, Endlessly

I do know that she is taking on an acting role in a film and will contribute to its soundtrack. Will she ever make a proper comeback? I really don't know, but I do think that the huge expectation placed on her to replicate the success of Rockferry (her first album); her struggle dealing with the pitfalls of fame; sacking her manager who discovered her and appearing in that infamous Diet Coke advert have all played their part.

I remember Rockferry coming out at around the same time as Adele's 19. And I remember seeing a lot of articles and interviewers comparing the two (basically because they were both female, British and had albums out around the same time).

At the time I preferred Rock ferry to 19 and didn't for one second think Duffy wouldn't be much bigger than Adele. But her second album IMHO wasn't a patch on her first. And Adele had the juggernaut that was 21 as her second album.

Listening to them now, 19 has become one of my all time favourite albums, as had 21. I listened to Rock ferry a few weeks back but IMHO the songs haven't aged well and a turned it off after a few songs.

No idea where it all went wrong for Duffy or why but I'd love to hear a new album from her in the future.

I still adore Rockferry but was not keen at all on her second album. She needs to work with Bernard Butler again!

I never warmed to her. She sounds like a goat. I doubt she'll ever win back the general public.

Rockerferry is still an amazing album but Endlessly was a mediocre follow-up and I'd struggle to name one song from Endlessly off the top of my head. It was just boring and uninspired compared to Rockeferrry, which had some of the best songs of the 00s on it.

Too much style, too little substance.

I remember her. I liked Mercy and Rain On Your Parade but I don't really know any of her other songs.

Me too! Didn't that song also appear on a movie soundtrack?
I remember Rain On Your Parade being in Bride Wars.

Stepping Stone was gorgeous and sultry.

Unfortunately, that awful Coke advert killed her career. I bet Duffy hasn't been able to get on a bicycle since

Why do people keep going on about that Coke advert all the time? That was simply a soft drinks tv commercial, which was a sideline job and had nothing to do with her music career whatsoever. I mean, people don't blame Cheryl FV's recent decline in music sales on her L'Oreal commercials, do they? They're a side job that have nothing to do with her music career, so of course not! Sadly with Duffy it had to be how poor her 2nd album was that made people lose faith in her. It really was nowhere near the brilliance of her debut album. A major let down. Shame. Rockferry is one of my fave albums ever.

She had some very catchy songs on Rockferry, in fact I don't think there was a track that I didn't like.

Hopefully she will return at some point with the energy of that first album.

It's just strange, she doesn't have Twitter and hardly says anything on her Facebook about music, I understand her 2nd album didn't do as well, but it still sold 220k in the UK and she was fairly doing ok in the US, Well Well Well reached 41 in the UK and this makes me think that's why she didn't carry on. She released just one single from Endlessly and I think the poor first single is why she didn't release anything else from Endlessly.
