Doesn't anyone think revealing the HMs early is a good idea?

I don't know how it works but presumably they will have released the information early to the press under embargo so the new housemates are in the Sunday papers. Surely getting a lot of coverage in the first Sunday papers after a general election is a good way to start a bit of buzz around the series? I also think there's more to this than meets the eye - they may be new housemates but with the time twisting theme are they necessarily going in the house on Tuesday or at different points in the series?

No, it should be left until launch night...... however I think it's going to be pointless trying to avoid seeing who they are so I will look and no doubt start to jusge prior to their entrance .

i guess it means they can cut the main show down now without having to tell us all about each housemate because we will already know

It fits in with the theme; in this case changing the time of the housemate reveal, so I'm going to roll along with it for once. Hope they don't make a habit of it though for future series.

No it goes against everything that made BB different to all other reality shows

Nope, don't agree with it at all, but we've all got to roll with it so no point in arguing it even if we are dissatisfied.

The only advantage I can see to this early reveal is that it will hopefully provide us with more live footage of the housemates' entrances on the main show.

No I do not.

I think it's a bad idea. I don't want to be spoiled so I'll be avoiding Big Brother-related sites until the launch.

Nope, not really fair on the traditionalists who like to be surprised on Launch Night

But to be fair, too difficult to avoid any spoilers until Tuesday

There's a good chance I'll be bored of them before they've even gone in.

Yes, maybe that is why they're doing that. Like with BB14's Secrets and Lies, they revealed the eye and then some time after, revealed the real eye, which was the same, but looked brighter.

It's not the 1st time that housemates was revealed before the show, the 1st ever BB revealed the housemates to the newspaper a week prior to the series starting.

I don't like it, personally.

I wonder whether it gives those with a twitter account an unfair advantage and a chance to gain more followers. A couple seem to have a few thousand already.

Now it's become obvious that the HMs weren't even in lockdown when their identities were revealed and therefore have had an opportunity to find out for themselves who they're going in with - and read up on details of the first night "twist" - I think it was probably a rubbish idea.

I heard they went into hiding yesterday?

Anyway, I think it has been a good idea, as somehow it's made me a lot MORE excited, seeing the people who are going in, and speculating who will get on and making judgements that could change when we see their VTs.

They were on Twitter last night and from what I understand were talking to each other on it.

I also heard 2 of them had a argmunt so if true even before they are in two of them dislike each other.

I don't know I just read in a thread maybe on here that 2 of them were already arguing on Twitter.

I don't think it really makes a difference. We still hardly know anything about them. I'm failing to see what all the fuss is about to be honest.

Gives them an extra couple of days to read up on the first night script

No I don't like knowing the HM's before they go in.

I like to make my first judgements on them as they go in.

I don't care about it, as long as launch night is unchanged, then I am happy.

Personally I think it will hit launch night ratings... The element of surprise has gone...
