Asians don't tend to enter talent shows it seems.Nothing more than that.

Depending on which religion, I don't think it's in Asian culture to try and get rich and famous this way or to be dancers and singers.

Hard work and excellence in academics is seen as the priority I guess.

This is especially true of the Chinese culture. They always excel academically.

Perhaps they, very sensibly, prefer to expend ther effort in areas where they know that genuine and real talent are properly rewarded, rather than waste time in a generally mediocre show.

Airtime on a show like BGT is too good to miss, but AFAIK major Conservatoires in UK are packed with Asians.

Perhaps the thought of being mixed up with so much mediocrity on BGT dissuades some people from even bothering.

Add to that the fact that on BGT much greater praise often seems to be given to mediocrity, whereas the genuinely talented are often ignored. Even at times, just so that utterly inane acts get voted through to the semis.

I don't think Muslims are allowed to enjoy themselves, however I have commented previously that they don't seem able to sing.

Aren't most Muslims Asian? or do you use Asian in the American sense as being Japanese, Korean, Chinese etc.

Plus when many support football they think they are Brazilian supporters.

So the real question might be "Why do British Asians feel so marginalized they don't audition? Or maybe they do and don't get picked. One or the other, but not that Asians just aren't interested.

What evidence do you have to support your last statement? I expect that the answer is none.

I don't need to explain anything as I'm already well aware that China has a lot of reality shows. I wasn't saying they don't have their own reality shows - that's a separate topic. I merely said, it's especially true that the Chinese Asians put importance on achieving and excelling academically which is a fact - it doesn't mean they don't audition for reality shows.
