What is going to be the easiest way to send youtube from an ipad2 to a TV. Will need to be wireless and easy to use for my 70 year dad. I was thinking either apple TV or chromecast ?

Nobrainer really, Apple TV but there are ways of getting Youtube onto a TV cheaper using a £10 Now TV box and their Youtube app, obviosly wont be as easy as you'll have to use their remote as a keyboard but its a cheaper option.

Is it a dnla TV? The YouTube app should just pick up the TV directly

Google Chromecast could be an option for your dad its costs £30 and you can use it right from the YouTube app.

If you have non smart DLNA TV, you can wirelessly mirror YouTube onto TV through the phone or tablet app.

Thanks for the suggestions. TV isn't smart, no DNLA

Went with a third gen apple TV from amazon for £57. Took five minutes to setup and my dad is pretty happy now.
