I don't have that Big Brother Buzz that used to grace me years ago. I think it's because we know it's going to be the same old booming Marcus music montage highly edited show with no live feed and constant twists.. I just can't seem to get excited for it.

I think the prospect of Live Feed would have make me excited, especially with the theme being time and all, but it seems they've missed a trick.

There's definitely a total lack of that magic feeling you used to get waiting for the launch. I haven't felt it in years. Live feed would have helped, + more advertising to get us hyped.

also the lack of surprise of which housemates are going in is gone as we already know them

TBH I have heard more about it this year than I have for the past few years now.

I know this is only me dreaming but imagine:

The Lucozade sponsorship ad rolls. Cut to the host, it's Davina and says one of her pre-title sequence lines(e.g BB7, "British Public, say goodbye to your summer - Big Brother is coming to get you!", roll to titles. Then she announces 24/7 Live Feed.. A man can dream.

I don't get hyped for something with only 20 mins of live feed on Friday, In fact I am tuning into Lip Sync Battle at 22:30 as normal.

I don't get hyped for any live feed, moved on 4 years ago, I enjoy it for what it is now and I can't wait. My Twitter is full of hype, guess it depends who you choose to follow.

I am probably going to skip this one both the previous winners have pissed me off and Katie Price was the cherry on the cake.

I am excited, but it just seems overall that there haven't been a lot of promotion for this one compared to other series. Plus they revealed the housemates already, I hope that this means the whole 2 hours won't be taken up by revealing the housemates that have already been revealed, but it probably will be

Blame the crap series of last year.

Will be a bit flatter tonight now they have revealed the not rights ahead of time, and also there still people out there who don't know it's starting tonight, or very cautious people hoping there won't be a repeat of last years depress-athon

I guess a lot of time will be taken up with Ma Willis doing the house tour, then talking to each housemate before they head in, add in the customary booing from the morons where available

Add to the fact they may want to stretch out the customary 'get them at each others throats from the off' opening twist

There's still posts on the first page of this forum from 8am this morning, and the launch is only two hours away.

Back in the days of old when it was more populated around these parts, the launch thread would be up first thing in the morning and be up to at least 10-15 pages right up to launch night kicking off

And if you started a thread it would be on page 2 in minutes.

I would say seconds rather than minutes, it would get THAT busy back then

I didn't even know it started tonight.

I remember posting the same thread three times during bb7 because I thought it hadn't posted, not realising it was just getting pushed off the first page lol

Same here. Only noticed it was on because I was checking out what was on Channel 4 at that time on my TV's EPG and Channel 5 is below it. I don't usually even bother looking at what's on Channel 5.

The trouble is that Digital Spy is seen as the nasty place which is off putting newer Big Brother fans from signing up.

A lot of people are studying for exams I really think it's on too early in the year.

They will still watch it sneaky.

hopefully this will make up for the lack of excitement,
