Great start to the episode.
That was a return to form. I hope things don't go down hill again when he meets up with the gang. |

This should've been how they started series 2.
Excellent. |

When he failed to burn the burial boat, I thought that Phil was going to wake up inside his coffin.
I'm waiting for Phil Miller's brother to make his way across from Florida to Malibu next. Assuming that is what's going to happen. |

As I suspected, it was a poor episode now we are back with the gang, with Phil being stupid still and the gang being boring as usual.
Still at least the other Phil is gone so we don't have to put up with his seriousness any more. |

Yes, after last week's fine opener, going back to Phil being a complete pillock was disappointing.

There's just no coherence to this show anymore.
Exactly what are we meant to be laughing at these days? It's just depressing and all over the place. And Phil's character is just so over-the-top it's annoying. He's gone from being a relatively likeable character, who kept managing to be his own worst enemy as he stumbled from one excruciatingly awkward situation to another, to now just being an excruciatingly annoying, whiny, immature, zany and downright idiotic boor. One of the reasons last week's episode was more enjoyable was because of there being no Phil; because Mike was just a down-to-earth (no pun intended) guy in a weird situation; and Jason Sudeikis played him straight, with the annoying idiosyncrasies kept to a minimum. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to stomach another however many episodes are left in the series of Will Forte just playing an insufferable overgrown baby. And they obviously have no idea what to do with the rest of the characters. None of them apart from Carol has enough comedic potential to carry a scene on their own. So they're reliant on interactions with Phil and Carol to create any sort of comedy, which limits the show's comedic and narrative opportunities hugely. I can't seeing the show lasting much longer at this rate. |

I can't see it on the guide. Not Dave's fault at all of course, all to do with the makers. They obviously don't think much of their audience. |

It's a very strange way of doing things by whoever is responsible.
Why don't they finish making an entire series before televising them? It's so frustrating. |

I see they gave out the incorrect info to listings mags. Again.
Stick to repeats of old BBC shows, Dave. It's all you're good at.... |

I've been watching US shows at US pace for a while now, and you soon get used to the constant breaks. Sometimes it is even nice to have a break, other times it is very annoying.

Strange things are afoot.
I have a failed recording, according to the library on my BT Youview box. Apparently "Fish in the Dish" episode of The Last Man on Earth failed to record at 12am on tuesday the 22 of march. Firstly - It wasn't scheduled to record it. Secondly - There was no sign of that episode on my epg at any point in the last week. The synopsis of the failed recording is even on my library; "Carol wants to repopulate the world again - bad news for Phil! Todd is tipped over the edge." Most peculiar. |

Hi Trapped, I think it even took Dave by surprise as they DID have it listed in the Radio Times and at 11pm my recording kicked in too and Dave did apologise. Weird yours did that at midnight though.

Yep the EPG listings were clearly messed up. Was wondering what happened when I just sat down to watch my V+ recording and it was actually an episode of QI instead!

Can't see Dave buying it unless they're already committed.

Its actually to do with FOX in america taking a break as usual, dave are doing a really good job with the show since its aired within 24 hours of the US broadcast. However this means that there are alot of breaks in the schedule unfortunately.
That's what I said. |
