First impressions after the first few hours?

Now it's calmed down a bit after a great twist for once (yes that was me saying GREAT ), what do we all think

Memo to Endemol and Channel 5, see how busy it gets with Live Feed just a shame it's only going to be 30 minutes from every Friday onwards

Really excellent first few hours and could be a brilliant series if TPTB don't muck it all up down the line

Simon in the BB hall of fame as the first ever male to be evicted first in the regular series

A twist that will be talked about for many series to come, going to be pretty hard to top that one despite my reservations about the usual noms meddling

I agree, the production could screw this up. IMO, the HM selection seems really good. The feed was great too. I wish they gave us an hour every night or a couple of hours. I mean, 30 mins on a Friday doesn't do it! We found out a lot about them in the feed.

Great selection of HMs. I just hope they don't screw it up with inane twists. They should consider themselves very lucky that this first twist worked out somewhat.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first night. Dont want them to muck about with nominations though or i may switch of.

I was liking Jack the Pieman until the dressing gown incident. A couple i really dont like but will reserve judgement.

Seems a pretty good cast and despite the twist frenzy tonight, it feels like the best was made out of a potentially bad situation.
- the OTT guy with the already tired schtick got booted.
- Nick now HAS to be the villain being forced to nominate infront of everyone, though I may end up feeling sorry for him.
- Jade was no doubt voted for negative reasons but ended up with a luxury budget because of it.
- Jack really won't need immunity from the looks of it, but with it being 3 immunity passes it adds a certain strategic element to it that could be interesting.

Overall things seemed to fall into place pretty well.

First impressions ? Well, i don't really dislike anyone yet, so far everyone is alright. Things would have been different if Simon stayed though.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch this series, but when we got back Internet, and I came here I was pleased as punch, to be back here again. But we do need more LF, as 30 minutes isn't enough to gauge situations, and the H/Ls show is just a drop in the ocean.

Consider the Nepal quakes, CNN has shown more of that, than BB has ever shown its HMs in a series. Both situations are important as they contain people.

* Very poor selection of HMs. About all that can be said in its favour is that it doesn't seem to have anyone as bad as Helen, Conor or Gina.

* I'm developing a strong dislike for some of the guys, especially the one I think is Christian. Danny is reminding me a lot of last year's Ash (not a good thing), and the one I think is Aaron is annoying.

* The live feed was dull, when it wasn't annoying.

* The twists were just the sort of thing people have been objecting to, so it's bizarre to see people saying it was ok or even good. In any case, I'm still opposed to such twists.

(A dubious twist shouldn't become good just because it gets rid of a HM you want to be rid of.)

It's interesting that the ones you like are the same as the ones I most dislike. (Except that I don't yet dislike Jack a.k.a Pie Face).

I also noticed that I vaguely remember we don't usually like the same hms so if I'm correct at least we are consistent

Wasn't too impressed with the Houseguest selection. Didn't feel like there was any dynamic, interesting, quirky/zany, engaging people chosen really.

I avoided all of the pre-season stuff and so this is the first time i've seen everyone and It can be quite difficult to tell though with people playing up their interviews and personas in an attempt to get in the house.

I guess i liked Nick the most out of first impression, and there was a few others that seemed okay.

Time will tell.

There was something off about the launch for me as well, it seemed to have a fakeness to it but at the same time i always enjoy the way UK produces their Big Brother overall [except i wish they wouldn't refer to Big Brother like Australia does in the singular "him/he" but rather as a shadowy entity] and so i was left "on the fence" about it.

I was that underwhelmed I fell asleep in the middle of it. Had to catch up this morning. That's a first for me. At this stage there doesn't appear to be any interesting characters but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt!
