Another embarrassing start just like the series where it was fixed for nasty Helen Wood to be given an unprecedented pass to the final. Pieface was like "I need the green, I need to get that green(coz I've been told what's in it)" LOL ..while the older irrelevant man(who was out of place anyway and didn't at all fit in with all the youngsters) conveniently sprinted for the eviction bomb. Anybody who actually falls for this shit must be zipped up the back.
Timebomb "twist" was as real as Helen Wood's teeth...
but why would they fix it for a loud, annoying and egotistical idiot to go? surely that's the sort of person they want in there...
Could not be more wrong. That was one of the most genuine moments we'll see in BB this year.
Jack was desperate for green because he's a Plymouth Argyle fan (they are the Green Army). The posh lad was going for that but had to wander elsewhere.

Judging by the past few series I think that will be the ONLY genuine moment orchestrated by BB this year.
My immediate assumption was that it was fixed. It certainly seems a bit convenient that the only housemate of the 15 whose absurdly early eviction could widely be deemed amusing and entertaining without causing any real backlash was the one who actually got evicted. As soon as they started hinting one of them would be going, I was thinking "right, well, surely they've got to fix this so that it's Simon, right?".
But I don't know how, and I don't quite go with this thread's tack of "IT'S ALL FAKE THEY'RE ALL ACTORS NOTHING'S REAL BLOODY HELEN SOMETHING SOMETHING WAKE UP SHEEPLE". Is it possible the contents of the "timebombs" could be modified live, some kind of mechanic that would allow for that? It would be a bit of a convoluted way to achieve not very much, especially with all the nonsense about being able to swap bombs with Adjoa.

If I was on the production team and the decision had been made to have a launch night eviction, I'd bloody well make sure it was fixed. The alternative is that they just survived what had a 93.333% chance of being the most pointlessly self-defeating twist in the show's history out of dumb luck.

It was easily fixable. They couldn't know who was going to choose which colour but they could choose what each colour meant. So 'eviction' could mean that housemate got evicted or it could mean the housemate had to choose another to be evicted. Immunity could have been for the first eviction or again to choose someone for it etc. Once the producers knew who was where, they could decide the outcome.

I'd agree with this. I don't think it was fake or that certain housemates knew which colour to pick etc. But I do think that had one of a certain three or four got the eviction bomb then the meaning would have been reversed, i.e. they had to pick someone to leave or something similar.

A lot of it did feel fake to me, with the talking to some people backstage and them all knowing each other, and like how Simon simply walked right up to the house without Emma there as if knowing exactly what he was doing whereas most people are kind of confused and need to be guided by Emma a bit... and the way he played things up generally, i got the feeling he was brought in to play up the role of villain and to be the one first out. Sort of like that actor was brought in a few seasons back.
I don't believe the majority of them were in on the colors though [maybe Simon did in fulfilling his role to be the one evicted].. if you have a favorite number or color you sort of feel attached to it and would naturally want to go for that in such a context and so i could see someone wanting the green one or whatever.

This is what I was thinking. They'd know a character like Simon is likely to be controversial and not be a favourite in the house, so I find it hard to believe they wouldn't want him to stay in. If it was a fix, surely he'd be given the immunity prize?
