For all of you saying NYE telly was dire, why would they put out their top rated shows when the majority of people are out.

For me, tonight though:
7pm Diversity Steals the Show
8:00 Coronation Street
8:30 Sherlock
10:00 The Simpsons Movie (Sky Cinema)

Catch up on Still Open all hours and Mrs Brown's Boys

The fireworks were 'loud'..as usual...
but where was the 'tribute' to David Bowie?Apart from that 'fame' shout out in the middle of another coldplay song, right at the very end?
Was that bloke who did the London Olympics theme involved last night?

I don't class any of those shows top rated. As for Mrs Browns Boys

I don't watch soaps nor have Sky.

Most people now do stay in on NYE. Staying is the new going out

Sherlock and Mrs Brown's Boys are top rated shows. Averaging over 7m per episode. ITV airing Ninja Warrior, Take me out and Harry Potter last night were not going to get over 3m.

BBC didn't bother either with a repeat of Mrs Brown's Boys (instead of a new one), and Pointless.
