Programmes like this are why Smellyvision should be invented. Imagine all the programmes that would benefit then. Great British Bake Off, Countryfile, Springwatch, Gardening Programmes, Nature Documentarys, Cookery Shows.... And programmes like this

The TV could use a range of scents and fragrances like a plug in air freshener but except of having like only 3 different fragrances it could have over 1000. Every kind of smell would be covered from freshly cooked bread and spring flowers to rotten eggs and dog poop.
The smells to be used would be encoded into the programme at different points, and then sent with the digital signal along with the visual and audio information. This would then be decoded by the Smellyvision Adapter, and Smellyvision is born. This new technology would be available in new Smellyvision TV's, and a Smellyvision Box, so that people with Non-Smellyvision TV's could experience a 3rd sense.

What a choice for today!

Wonderful if you're a train afficionado (I'm not). 6 hours of nothing but trains.
There will be numerous re-re-repeated films that no-one wanted to watch the first time
If you've a mind to, you can watch the 1966 General Election (be still my beating heart)
and just to round off a joyous night's viewing - The Irish Rebellion for 90 minutes.

What have we done to deserve such wondrous entertainment?
