I love the way BB/C5 have killed off any voting complainers from the start

The near unwatchable Rylan (just stop talking over people for gosh's sake) made it clear on BBOTS....

expect the unexpected, NOTHING IS AS IT SEEMS...

ie... vote along with the fun, be interactive with the show but dont expect it to mean anything other than its just for fun.

lol
didnt think this would get debated...

because either no one notice rylan and emma make these comments (as they miss a lot like the "we will be back" and "my last bbots" comments by emma OR people just like complaining so decided to "cuba" the comments.

Anyone who thinks that Simon won't be back is living on cloud cuckoo. He came across as quite a big character so once some of the big characters in there now have been evicted and the house has stabilised a bit, they'll throw him back in there to keep things going. They'll revert time as part of the timebomb theme or something along those lines. It's so obvious.

I really don't think he will ....
As bizarre as it was to evict someone on opening night, I think it was a genuine eviction and that's that.
Very odd thing to do though.

but the reminder was to all voting throught the series not to take anything seriously and nothing is as it seems...

i.e. not specifically about simons eviction but about all voting.... no complaining about the outcome of votes!

They've made it up as they went along for years.

Is this really the first year they've made it so clear though? I thought it was more than blatant in Secrets and Lies?

It did seem strange giving Simon the boot, without making any money from the people who bother to vote, so he may return.....

Yeah, it was. I still think he'll make a re appearance at some stage. Let's face it the production team need all the help they can get..bringing Mr. Showbiz back would be easy peasy! Hope they do actually.....

What is 'SHOWBIZZZZZ' backwards?

(Not spelling-wise, sound-wise)?

Nothing that Emma or Rylan said means they can ignore the public votes that voters paid money for. That sort of comment will not make the regulator think that no complaints can be valid.

Yes, but they were careful not to have him evicted by a public vote.

How would bringing Simon back, help them? Even before launch night, most people were dreading him going in and most people's views I've heard since his eviction, were relief that he'd gone.

not true.
if people are aware that when they vote it is just for fun and to feel part of the game it is no different to any just for fun machine in an arcade. you are playing along and taking part in the game.

Have you watched Big Brother before? After 16 years, the production is so see through. It's obvious he will be back in a few weeks.

It's quite unusual to see a post celebrating the show for killing off viewers when it should be doing the opposite and attracting people to the show.

The cult of BB is very strange, it seems to relish alienating its own fans and getting rid of the viewers who make up the ratings. It seems to feel a sense of accomplishment when it pisses its own viewers off. It's a very self-destructive attitude.

You'd never see a successful show on another channel give itself a big pat on the back for doing something a section of the viewers find objectionable and brag about how pleased it is to get rid of them.

Remember when they banned the phrase 'live feed' from the call ins?

Remember when they banned that guy with curly hair from BOTS and the Boreham Wood compound for mentioning Live Feed?

I'm sorry, but it is true. BB has always claimed it can change the rules at any time; that has never exempted it from the regulations, and nothing Emma or Rylan has said so far will change that.

The votes so far have been free votes on the app. BB can do what it wants with those. But once they ask people to pay, that have to do whatever the description of what we're voting for said will happen.

Of course, if BB said one week, along with the information about costs, something like "This time we're not saying what you're voting for. The winning HM might be evicted, or make immune for the rest of the series, or be given a piece of cake. It could be anything." then it could be anything. But if they introduce a vote to evict in the usual way, it has to be a vote to evict, and the HM with the most votes has to go. They can't refer back to what Rylan said and claim it meant that after a vote to evict they could give the HM a piece of cake instead.

It's not fun if your favourite gets evicted because of some silly twist. BB have now taken to evicting housemates without a public vote at all (Marlon and Danielle last year).

So right there Ozzy. They can do anything they like with time, stop it, reverse it, speed it up, whatever. So that means Simon (annoys me personally) could return at any time. what is the betting there will be some type of time machine when older HMs from previous series turn up. Maybe. maybe not. Time will tell......
