I wish both Arlene and Natalie well but I won't be watching because of the two gigantic egos who front the show

Such a shame the BBC won't give the show a make over and get rid of the current presenters - I might tune in again to watch it if they did. Gregg Wallace's unpopularity on strictly should have told them something!

Normally I can't watch Masterchef because I can bear how dramatic and po-faced they get over a cheesecake. I might tune in for Natalie, though. I imagine she makes very healthy food.

Meanwhile Tristan will be competing in his second half-Ironman in Ireland this August. He's doing it for a homelessness charity if anyone wants to donate.

It could also be interesting seeing as how every edition of Pro Cribs showed a virtually empty fridge. There was Erin and her fish-finger sandwiches, Aljaz and Janette with pineapple juice and bananas, Aliona and her tinned Ambrosia Devon Custard and Katya wrapping gherkins (or maybe it was cornichons) in sliced ham and scoffing them. Natalie's concoctions could be like Aubrey's menu in Life is Sweet - king prawn in jam, orange juice and yoghurt, anyone?

I remember when they did Lilia and Darren's house - their fridge was pretty bare as well. I imagine given the hours they work and the amount of socialising they do - the pros eat out quite a lot especially during strictly. Judging by their Twitter pages - most of the pros seem to have quite a healthy appetite - I suppose they would do with all the energy they expend dancing and training.

No please no.

I cannot stand Arlene Phillips and will have to record it so I can fast forward.

Everything she has ever done, she knew about it 'in a heartbeat'. Awful woman imho.

I didn't always agree with her and occasionally she annoyed me intensely but she was a better judge on strictly than both John and Gregg put together are on Masterchef - that's a show I find unwatchable because of those two...particularly Gregg! That's what Masterchef needs imo - a female judge - the show is overloaded with testerone and maybe there wouldn't have been some of the dubious decisions and outcomes if they had a female judge involved - despite what sexist Gregg Wallace thinks, a female is capable of fronting and judging on that show - and many would be much more capable than him!

Oops, I went off on a bit of a rant there Apologies - I just thought it was a bit strong describing Arlene as 'awful' - but you're entitled to your opinion.

Most (admittedly not all) of the places they feature on Strictly are simply rented appartments for the duration of Strictly, and most of the pros are travelling here there & everywhere during the day, so probably eat out most of the time, so stocking the fridge is probably not a priority.

You're not kidding! I was in a restaurant in Blackpool a few years ago, sharing a table with 1 of the world's top professional Latin dance couples. They were competing that night, so "stocking up" on food at lunchtime to see them through..... they started with a full roast beef dinner, following by a full portion of fish and chips, then had dessert!!! I kid you not. Both were as skinny as rakes, but shows how much energy they put into dancing 5 rounds of 5 five dances each (25 dances in all) in one evening!

Looking forward to this. The celeb version was the first version I watched and surprisingly almost all celebs come over as likeable. Natalie is my favourite pro so her taking part suits me down to the ground. Wonder if it's just a coincidence Scott is in the same series?

Does anyone know when the series starts?

Lol, I love having a nosey at what others order in restaurants too

I can well understand dancers need that amount of fuel for all the energy they have to burn. Recently I've been working out at the gym regularly - I'm not a dancer or training for a marathon or anything - just trying to get fit after putting on a bit of weight after being on medication with few health issues - problem is I feel so hungry after a few hours in the gym - It's not like I'm always reaching for the Krispy Kremes straight after exercising and I try and cut down here and there and eat relatively healthy but it's more difficult than I thought shifting the weight I used to be able to lose it quite quickly just by going to the gym if I put on weight without the need to go on a diet - perhaps it gets more difficult as you get older to lose weight.

And to bring it around to Masterchef, perhaps I should start watching it again - I remember I used to find it so disgusting the way Gregg and John shovelled the food down - really off putting - so if I watch it before dinner it'll put me off eating and least that's one meal I won't have to worry about

I missed that, but Arlene has done quite a bit work for the BBC even after strictly - so I don't think it's that surprising to hear she's taking part in Masterchef.
