Try using Smart Lock (under Security) - add a few Trusted Places and /or Bluetooth devices. I hardly ever have to enter my pin these days.

In Chrome go to Settings and turn off "Merge tabs and apps" and it'll be back to the old method.

Try installing a different Dialler app from the play store - theres many available.

in the Google keyboard settings (hold the comma key and then select the cog icon) select Appearance and Layouts and then chose your preferred keyboard theme.

This is a known issue, install a different launcher - e.g. Google Now launcher or Nova laucher.
