I just feel so sad for Joel, as he did really care about Aaron and I suspect he is beating himself up over it all now. Bless him.
I'd imagine he was relieved that he's not going to have his sexuality questioned every time Aaron got drunk or had to endure Aaron's relentless pursuit. I don't doubt that if they weren't locked in a house together then it wouldn't be so full on; however had there been (potenitally) another 8-9 weeks of it then I doubt Joel wouldv'e been able to stick it. |

Really?
I'd imagine he was relieved that he's not going to have his sexuality questioned every time Aaron got drunk or had to endure Aaron's relentless pursuit. Aaron took it way too far (due to alcohol and the housemates goading) and it made Joel uncomfortable, but I don't believe for a second Joel would have wanted Aaron removed from the house. |

I think Joel enjoyed the casual banter and it helped form a good friendship between them.

True; he probably would've just preffered to keep the distance. But I think in the long run it would've happened time and time again as Aaron can't handle his drink.

I hope both of them go along with the Twin and Danny. However I can see Kieran going unfortunately. I don't particularly like him, but he is coming acorss better with each show and less irratating.
On another note, some of the comments/ threads of the main BB forum with regards the Aaron/ Joel thing are appaling with some blaming Joel. Having to bite my tongue as posters with that form of mentalty/ out look on life aren't worth the argument. For me it's as simple as Aaron crossed a line with Joel and Joel had the right to tell BB if he felt uncomfortable as the situation was clearly forced on him. How the producers wanted to deal with the matter was up to them. Aaron put himself in that position and carelessly didn't think about the consequences. |

Yeah a few comments just aren't even worth responding to anymore, to try and blame Joel they have to start making up and presuming things and it starts becoming more like fan fiction.

Oh Dear... Quote:
from TellyMix Hopefully she goes tonight along with Harriet
Sarah Greenwood seems to blame Joel Williams for Aaron Frew’s exit from the Big Brother house. In tonight’s show, Sarah and Danny are in the smoking area. Sarah comments that she thinks she saw Joel smirk when it was announced that Aaron was removed. Later, Joel asks Sarah if there is something wrong. Sarah tells him that they need to have a conversation but she will wait till the morning because they have all been drinking. Joel insists that they settle things immediately. An argument breaks out where Sarah tells him that his behaviour in the wake of Aaron’s departure has been inappropriate. Joel asks what Sarah’s reaction would have been if she had been in that situation. Sarah replies, “No one in this house would do that to me because I would have made it extremely, unequivocally clear that that was not on.” Joel responds, “What are you trying to suggest?” Nick tries to defend Joel but Sarah tells him not to get involved a sshe adds: “I have no issue with the fact they removed Aaron. My issue is you then parade around in women’s clothing. You encourage it.” Joel snaps: “I think that’s bang out of order for you to suggest that justifies his actions.” After things cool down, Nick and Joel are in the bath. Joel says, “There will be a hate campaign against me.” Big Brother airs tonight at 9PM on Channel 5. |

Joel is the reason Aaron is out along with Harriet for egging him on @AARON_FREW @bbuk Joel reacted to him by hitting Aaron with a shoe though!! Joel needs to be out too for violence🙌🏼

Even before this series started I was pleading that there wouldn't be someone truly loathable who winds me up..........then along came Aaron. D'oh!
I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to the new housemates coming in. This series is in desperate need of a distraction and some new life, even if they turn out to be awful. |

Glad he didn't take Sarah's bait and remained relatively calm - she's a horrible woman

Now these newbies have arrived, hopefully this can blow over and Joel can enjoy the time in there.
I suspect he will be devastated at the twins departure though. |

Well that night was chaotic to say the least.
Now Joel can start with a clean slate. I don't know if getting rid of that many housemates was quite necessary but it's a clean slate nonetheless. |

Clean slate, hopefully.
But I'm worried how the public will be viewing him after all this drama, some of the disgusting things I've read on here today! |

True, it has been tough to read.
Fortunately as soon as the evictions started and new housemates came in there hasn't been a single thread about him. I'm just hoping there isn't still bitterness against him when he's next up for eviction. |

I feel sorry for Joel because I know for a fact a lot of people see the word "politician" in neon lights every time he comes on screen and it clouds their judgement instantly. He's been called all sorts of stuff based on just that interest in my opinion. Ranging from snake, devious, manipulator, liar, etc. I, personally, haven't seen any of these in effect. I see a really intelligent guy who's getting unjustly labeled in and out of the house.

He looks to be in alot of trouble this week due to this noms twist.
But then so are all the originals as any one of them could end up stuck in a tough eviction vote, except possibly Jack with his remaining immunity pass. It's going to be one hell of a messy week as the producers will be desperate to get things the way they want, what that means for Joel I don't know. If they are happy with who goes up they'll just leave it at that, if not they'll keep messing around with it. But let's be honest, the way the producers are pulling these twists out of their arses, every week will be tough to get through so there's no use getting mad about it. |

I think this will be his last week, Sarah fans seem to be gunning for him (thinking he got her evicted) and Aaron's supporters will go after him too.
I hope he escapes being up. *crosses fingers* |

Go on then I'll through my support behind Joel even if that does mean supporting a Tory.

Oh dear, looks like Joel's up against Eileen and I'm starting to think BB are just holding out until the highlights show before opening the lines because there's going to be major drama in the episode. That is unless they think of a last-minute twist.
It's a shame really that Jack had a pass left because Jack may have gone had it been Jack vs Eileen vs Joel, which would have been an interesting result. Even though I still like Jack. It's a bit suspicious that Aaron is appearing on BOTS tonight when they're likely going to open up the lines with Joel facing eviction. If they carry on with the ageism against Eileen angle and also Aaron, they're basically throwing Joel to the wolves. I wouldn't be too mad if Joel goes against Eileen but the real stringer is that it's because of Showbiz!!!, who I have never remotely enjoyed since he first appeared on launch night. |

Okay so now he's basically up sh*t creek without a paddle.
You just know if an intentional drama-causer was up they'd have found a way to put up another 5 housemates or dished out immunities. But Joel and Eileen are both expendable to the long-term plan. I think the vote will be very close though. I don't get their logic because Eileen and Joel aren't enemies so the only people bothered by this vote will be Eileen or Joel fans. I just wish there were 3 up because at least then Joel would go because of genuine dislike and not just sympathy for Eileen. |

Unfortunately I think he's gone this week. There aren't many "petitions" from his fans and his anti-vote looks like it's going to bite him on the arse.
![]() This will be a shame because I think Eileen will run out of steam very soon. |

My concern is Aaron and Sarah fans will team up with Eileen fans to vote to evict Joel. I think it'll be a surprise if he stays which is a shame as I think he's one of the best in there. He is a slow burner though and it's becoming more and more obvious Big Brother prefer a crash-bang-wallop Housemate.
