I think Niska's damaged by her dealings with "clients". She is going after men.

I think she's had the equivalent of an android psychotic break and from all the abuse she's been forced to endure since she was abducted from the woods at the start to being modded and then made into a robot sex slave, its twisted her ethics and morality.

If she was made using a human personality or memories, it might be the past memories that evoke her reaction to men.

E.g. perhaps the human she is modeled on was in an abusive relationship.

Did the guy in the grey suit realise she was a synth? He said something like 'don't they have [whatever it was] on your planet' but I couldn't work out if that meant he knew he was talking to a synth or it was just a turn of phrase.
