Toby's going to be a bit disappointed when someone tells him there's an official dirtiness command code and he finds it's already somehow disappeared...
A real live girl shows an interest and he turns that down in favour of Inflatable Ingrid and the puncture repair kit? Either I don't understand teenagers or he needs some serious counselling! And even more once he discovers what happened when he was out at the party... Laura's going to be well impressed too!

I think we have a key 'revealer question' now though, "do you get scared" is quite a good choice too. I wonder what Niska's answer to that would be, perhaps "not any more, did you spill my pint?".

As for DI Voss, at least we have an answer to that! I was expecting her to be pulling out a charger cable but the 'doggy bag' does make more sense. I think 'transferred in from the sticks' is likely her official story, good enough at the job not to need anyone check up on her beyond initial easily-forged email intro from the HR department.

Oh and the house by the lake - is my memory faulty or was that the same one as they were trying to reach on Top Gear last night?

Really good episode tonight.
Feel so sorry for the Synths it really does show the worst aspects of humanity.
I actually wondered if Pete fancied the Synth caring for his wife, He seems incredibly vocal about what a man he is.

I think this is probably going to be a plot hole that we'll have to swallow. But the series has been great so far, therefore I can forgive it.”

I don't see why she can't have been transferred from one police station to another.

"Lie back and think of England" as instructed by Queen Victoria. Not very exciting for the man.

Actually I got the idea the father had bought David back from the dead as part human part synth. It to do with the flash backs for the drowning scenes which could have happened 14 years ago. This was the next stage that George disagreed with and left the program, a total human/synth hybrid. David was the first and he was working on the other 5 but only got as far as making them self aware.

The way he was just rutting her, while looking pervy/guilty at the same time eww.

What was the creepy blue bag thing that whats-her-name pulled out of her gullet?”

she is a synth masquarading as a human, the bag shoved down her throat is what enables her to eat and drink as a human would do and at the end of the day she pulls it out and disaposes of it

Putting it in the waste bin in the bathroom is a bit silly, surely flushing the contents away would be preferable!

They'd probably need to train the dogs up. Up until now they didn't know they needed to, because they thought all the synths were easily detected. It's only the special synths that have a chance of passing as human, and the first 4 of those only escaped recently.

Those guys weren't heroes. They were smashing up machines, knowing the machines didn't have feelings and wouldn't defend themselves. They thought she was human, and cracking a human over the head would risk killing her, which would be problematic morally and legally given the whole fight club thing was probably illegal. Also, she was fighting back, which isn't the kind of victim they were used to. And does she even keep her brain in her head?

She's special, so she wasn't programmed to do it at all. I think she could have refused, just as Niska did, but Anita doesn't know she's special so she didn't know she could refuse.

(I wrote early on that she would refuse, just as she rejected the son, but I changed my mind a little after the epidermis inspection scene, where it seemed she might be trying to seduce the father. I'm guessing she didn't know what she wanted - but wouldn't have wanted it to be like that.)

And who knows about her? Does the chap who is hunting down Leo's group know? And is she the only one? Is she a policewoman because she's on a mission to infiltrate the police, or did she pick that profession at random? Do all police stations have a secret synth or two?

The synth charging shops would be needed i wouldve thought. Just on the off chance you couldnt charge at home you could top it up in town.

Regarding the police woman, i thought from the start there was something odd about her, but i thought in the latest episode she seemed to be acting more roboty? I dont know if that was intentional to let everyone guess what would happen?

I easily buy that she would be there unnoticed. Wasnt it mentioned at the start that synths were perfect, as they never tire, never fault (unless they are broken) and arent violent. So it doesnt seem beyond reason that someone high up may have bought a synth in, unknown to the others, in preperation for the future when all police could be replaced by synths? Maybe it couldve been an experiment to see if synths could work alongside humans?

It was nicer to see a different side to mattie this week. I like how she defended the synth at the party and seems to be warming to anita.

Always best to record the whole programme first, then edit out the adverts, then .. and only then .. watch the whole 41 minute programme, plugged through the hi-fi system, listening on headphones, in complete darkness .. and (I can't stress this enough) without distractions of any sort!!

I'll be re-watching it again tonight, for sure!

Really? It was flippin' obvious that was going to happen sooner or later. Remember when the camera lingered on the sealed envelope containing the 18+ option, back in episode 1?

Most likely a dead brother, judging by the faded photograph of the two of them as children, entitled 'Me and Tom on the beach'.

I think most people probably expected Toby to use it first, as opposed to Joe cheating on his wife.

Either watch the flippin' programme or try something else, but don't waste forum time asking damn fool questions!

You've always got CH4+1 and there's 47 too, to say nothing of the web based catch up options!

Best of all, why not record it so you can watch bits over and over again? Also helpful if someone on here remarks on something they've noticed (and you haven't) .. you can go back in and see for yourself.

But how many people really focus on the DOB when reading CVs? And that she could easily hack and change without anyone noticing because even if they call previous jobs for references they are not going to discuss her DOB.

Agreed. I find it hard to imagine a teenage boy turning down the chance to get off with a pretty girl just because they are pining for someone else. It would have been more realistic to me if they'd had him go off for a fumble with the girl and then accidentally call her Anita in the middle of it.

Interesting idea. I don't think that's what it is (I think it's more the same issue that Mattie had, he feels like the synths will make his skills redundant and replace him) but it would be a good twist.

I'm wondering how much Anita's attitude was dictated by who/what she is or if it's that she's primarily set up to be a domestic synth. Because the normal synths in the brothel Niska was in seemed to be programmed to act more sexy (posing and pouting at people who walked by) and I presume they would also be more responsive during use, otherwise they surely wouldn't be used over human prostitutes.

I hadn't thought of that possibility but it could be. I think it's more likely to be something that ties her in with Leo's lot though.

Is it usual to have a washing machine/tumble drier in the hall? It looked to me as though Anita was emptying one.

A teenage boy turning down the chance of making out with a real girl because he wanted a plastic one? Doesn't make sense to me.

Amazed that the policeman didn't read (misread?) the signals from his colleague and make a move on her (perhaps he knows there is something different about her?).

Very gross to drop the bag full of (mainly) liquid into a bin rather than flushing the contents away. At least she did lock her bedroom door.

I was just assuming that it would be easier to explain emptying a rubbish bin rather than trying to explain why she was carrying a blue bag full of liquid to the rubbish........... but yes, very gross begs the question of why she didnt go to the bathroom to extract the blue bag but then again I guess the privacy of her bedroom would be the better option and then remove "rubbish" from bin the next day

also, I wonder why she offer him her sofa - she knows he isnt a big synth fan.......... or at least he isnt a fan of his wifes synth but that might be a jealousy thing
