How was she able to walk?
I don't think she was ever actually paralysed, she'd had some kind of accident and the synth was there providing physical therapy to help her recover. But he'd already reached the end of his lease in last week's episode so we can assume she was more or less back to normal.

What I don't get about this is why the Humans are so determined to keep the AI synths alive, logically why would they (Synths) need us after a certain point, they can make more synths and they're tougher and stronger than us.

The Humans are stupid IMO, aiding and abetting their own destruction.

Hey ho back to my recording, then on to Odyssey.
But why does it have to be destruction? Why could they not just live alongside each other? While the advanced synths might not need humans they would have no reason to be threatened by them (if the humans left them alone), and it's not like they're competing for food or stuff.

I still think his "compliment" was the best bit.

I agree, I don't think its like Terminator where the machines want to take over. Here the machines want to belong, they want to be accepted by the humans. You see the blond synth that was a prostitute she only wants the old man to love her as a father would his own child, and we see how he treats his own synth though its an old model he calls him son, I just had a feeling that now this quest of the intelligent synths was to create a settlement of their own and create a family to care for one another and now under this old man, one of the founders he will be the one to look after them and they don't need to live on a campsite just his home will be their home.

So despite seeing years of Leo's memories there was no sign of Karen there so it looks like she was created somewhere else, possibly by someone else.

Did someone else gain the knowledge to create the sentient synths from Elser?

There's obviously something wrong with Leo's memories of his Fathers death.

Leo believes his Father killed himself but I have a feeling Leo or one of the Synths actually killed him. Leo's memory of it was deleted/altered.

Max will be found and reactivated. No way that's going to be the end.

Good fast moving epsiode. Tom Goodman-Hill was a bit pantomime villain though.

I couldn't watch after police synth plugged herself in and Neil Maskell said about her being a joker. I'll watch back on 4OD at some point but what happened? Did he realise she wasn't joking...? What did he do?

I freaking hate him!
I think the father will have to die. There's no place for him in the family now after shagging Anita/Mia and betraying her friends.

I loved the scene where Laura and Mattie were driving back in the car with Anita sitting on the back seat in the middle (slightly inconsiderate though, blocking the rear view mirror). As the camera moved in, you knew Mia was going to appear at any moment, but it still made me jump!

I hope Max will be rescued and they all get to live with Odi and George - although I suspect that's not going to happen.

...because, like Leo, she's now got a bit of synth inside her.

Best line...Max "I'm not a telephone" LOL.

When he thought the charging was a joke she cut her hand.

He freaked out when he saw she had blue synth blood.

He grabbed his clothes and ran out of the room.

My money's on Leo, though Niska had good reason.

Did anyone else start wondering after George's comments about Leo's mum (he knew her pretty well and didn't seem to think she was as ill as she appears later) that he might be Leo's real father? Was the affair the real reason George was thrown off the team and Leo's mum taken off to seclusion (gaslighted? drugged? or just snapped?)

Ow poor Odi.
He has the functional capacity of a vacuum cleaner now but still.... aww.
I am amazed he made it back to be honest. He is good for the speech about why humans can care for synths, despite synths not being able to.

Crikey that synth is marginally more responsive and spontaneous than some of the boyfriends I've had.
lo but it does show why human/synth relationships would never work in the long run,

Loved the body mass index compliment.
that was pretty good

also why are they letting the unstable synth drive? seriously Mia came almost out of now where, yes with the cold detachment of this forum we can say Mia came out because of the discussion that was had, but no way the characters would have been the same. Lets face it they could have killed someone, thankfully there are NO extras in this drama, so that wasnt a threat that it might be in the real world.

Leo looks like a younger Jason Orange with that beard!
Leo looks like Merlin. my only concern is he will never be reunited with Arthur in this series, I cant see Odi making it to S2.

My money's on Leo, though Niska had good reason.

considering I was bored by dead brother stuff, I could with less human drama stuff, that is what EastEnders is for, not Humans.

One thing I noticed is that Leo told us about the creation of the other alive synths, but not the cop synth, who told her partner the truth enjoyed that.

I hadn't really noticed but you're right. The roads are remarkably clear no matter what time of the day or night it is.

Dead brother stuff was predicted by us weeks ago. I don't really see what it's added to the drama.

That's an interesting idea, it could well be. At any rate there definitely has to be something more to it.

I hope so. Think it's more likely him and the mum will just end up divorced though. With only two episodes left I'm wondering how much will be resolved and how much will carry over into series 2 (assuming there is one).

I don't think that'll be it, George seems like he loved his wife too much to have an affair.

What I'm wondering about is the timeframe. Niska told George that she was 9 years old, and Leo's memories seemed to show that Niska was around before his accident, which he said happened when he was 13 or 14 (didn't hear properly ) but that would mean that Leo is now 22 at most, he looks much older than that.

whilst it was boring, the dead brother stuff, was what helped Mia come to the front, so it had its uses.

I may have misheard, but I think Niska was created age 9 in her adult synth body and she's aged mentally since then. Elster was creating companions for his son, it wouldn't have worked to create babies that needed taking care of.

Re: the Tom storyline, I think it was supposed to be more obviously important to the family relationships - it fed into Joe's feelings of abandonment and suspicion, and into the relationship with Matty also.

I don't think those dramatic threads were clear enough inside all the synth stuff though.
