It's quite unsettling that all the rest of the technology and environment is from 2015 apart from the synths (even Channel 4 news!). If robots had become that advanced then a lot of the other technology should be too.

The little daughter is hilarious. I've seen her in something else before. She's adorable. Toby got fat.

Well done, Emily Berrington for keeping a straight face there, as the camera zoomed in on her bobbing head.

Oh right - but the makers of this aren't expecting us to have watched that are they?
On another note, I don't want much C4 these days, do they really have to have a warning for a few second sex scene where you can see absolutely nothing? |

She was in Nativity 2 and another creepy drama - the one about Crickley Hall - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5177929/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t42

Enjoyed that a lot. Defo one to set on series link. There's obviously a bit of AI, I Robot, Dollhouse and others in there but so far quite intriguing. Good cast too.

I enjoyed it and will definitely watch next week. It's creepy but not hide-behind-the-cushions scary, which suits me fine (a bit like Resurrection). Interesting ending with Anita making off with the little girl.

I want Anita to come and live with me. She has such a lovely voice, she laughs at jokes that aren't funny and she does the housework.
Hope she kills the obnoxious teenage daughter. |

Did seem to have a lot of elements borrowed from A.I. and the Will Smith I, Robot films (apart from the basic synthetic human idea), but I liked it quite a bit, will be tuning in next week.

Good to hear positive feedback but I have to say that I think the Swedish original is FAR better than this version.
This one feels a bit too rushed in comparison and the hubots seem more convincing and menacing in the original series too. |

Hope she kills the obnoxious teenage daughter. If this was shot in japan, no one would care as they are so used to robots. |

The daughter was not kidnapped. It was Anita in her previous job. She probably had a daughter

Good enough for me to stick with... This is not as easy as it used to be.

Not bad, but some structural problems.
The main strength of the plot was, or should have been, Anita's creepy half-human, half machine vibe, and the tension of trying to work out whether she was sinister or not. However, that was all dissipated very early on by the cosy hike in the woods, the cosy romantic storyline and the fact that the intelligent cyborgs are all quite obviously the good guys. We have seen several of the intelligent cyborgs, of whom Anita is one, acting to all intents and purposes exactly like humans. This again dissipates the creepy vibe that the actress playing her very skilfully built up in the household. |

And why do you need a operator's license to have one? |

I really enjoyed that the hour passed by very quickly as you followed all the different story lines.
I would seriously want to get rid of the older daughter, very moody individual. The younger sister was really cute, and with Anita carrying her off at the end, it definitely raises questions.I found it quite easy to get into all the different story lines, there was enough going on there to get involved in. Will definitely be tuning in next week. |
