My main gripe with this is they're throwing in way too many storyline strands, I highlighted them here, have I missed any?

I completely agree with you.

Reason: the I'm a Celeb juggernaut was back on ITV on the same Sunday night timeslot.
Channel 4 did the same with Indian Summer, dimwits.
I just hope the US ratings hold up.

I can't believe people would rather watch I'm a Celebrity... than Humans

Takes all sorts, I suppose!

She's not a synth, she's pretending to be one.

There isn't a school girl Synth.

It's a human pretending to be a Synth as explained in a previous episode it's the latest trend amongst teens/kids.

The youngest daughter of the family is doing the same thing.

Would not hold my breadth, Indian Summers was a somewhat co-proudction too with a US cable channel and the ratings tanked. Channel 4 should switch it to Mondays or Wednedays from next week, diiddly-squat on those nights.

That tragic story in the news this week of the young girl, who died from cancer, being cryogenically frozen, has some strong similarities to the Carrie-Anne Moss character storyline. Her daughters' consciousness is stored on computer servers, in the hope of future revival by download of it to a conscious-capable synth.

The school girl pretending to be a synth I think she had one at her home for awhile, bonded with her synth thinking he or she as her best friend. Her parents get rid of the synth thinking their daughter should be with her human friends not have their daughter being around the synth anymore. The girl sad and heart broken her best friend sent away, dresses up as a synth to deal with the grief.

Maybe she hates the way people are treating the synths, would rather be a synth then human. Or she is curious what it like to be a synth decides to dress up as one. Maybe all the students are told to do a project on something, the school girl decides to dress up as a synth as her project to learn what it's like being a synth.

DS Drummond obviously has been behind a desk too long. No policeman would let himself be beaten up like that, could have used CS spray or a baton.

Mia with the lottery ticket.
I do like the little moments of humour in this series.

Again a very bad plot. Qualia have all the money and resources to "persuade" the UK government to give up its information on the conscious synths, they dont need to be sneaky about it.

And which idiot decided it was a good idea to use Synths in factories, what a waste of money. A much cheaper robot would do the job equally as well.

lastly no-one decided to film that meter reading synth for evidence, because I bet everyone £100000 that in next episode, the family cannot prove anything that happened.

Just a tad too much realism being applied to a sci-fi series by everyone. Let's just accept a few unlikely things like synth warehouse staff and synth rapid repairs.

Not like there is anything else worth viewing tonight: I'm a moron, give me a cockroach to eat is not exactly mentally stimulating.

I wondered about that too. Very odd

She just needed to be reset, cleaned out and have her food bag replaced. It would have caused more damage if she hadn't been turned off when she was.

Not sure what you are on about here.

She was nearly fired for doing stuff she wasn't hired to do, namely trying to transfer the consciousness of her comatose daughter into a sentient synth.

So what's a Seraphim if it's not a conscious Synth? I'm guessing it's a Synth that's been modded so that it can harm humans (like the electricity meter reader).

I'm enjoying it. I love the twist of some humans taking on the qualities and behaviour of synths, now that's not something I've ever seen predicted when various boffins tell us of the advantages of having robots to do all the work for us in the glorious future!

I didn't see the twist at the end coming! The implication is that he's decided to sell her to make enough money I think.

I suspect that it may be a twist and he's actually protecting her in some way (and still a good guy) but it's hard to see how that will work!

Good episode but there are a lot of strands they are going to need to pull together!
