It's interesting to compare how they are covering similar ground to Westworld regarding what is really life and consciousness as far as humans understand it. Enjoying both though both have dragged a bit.
I think it's a great pity that they're both on together (Humans suffers somewhat in comparison, & comes over as rather a cut-price bumbling Brit version of WW). I wonder if that was accidental, or intentional by one or both parties? If Humans gets another season, they'd do well to avoid WW next time around, methinks... (And more high-tech scenes, please - less of the seaside caffs, old barns in fields & clichéd surburbia!)

When in reality, Humans is a British version of Akta Manniskor (Real Humans).

I thought it was a shame they converted Anita back to Mia so quickly - I prefer her of the two personalities and the dynamic she stirs within the family, so I'd have liked her back for at least a full episode before Maddie inevitably turned her back. The Sophie storyline could've taken an even more interesting turn with Anita maybe "stuck" for longer whilst the family tried to bring Mia back, but I guess the series is so close to the end now that they have to move things along and get Mia back with Leo and friends. Still, I guess some Anita is better than none

I was hoping the detective should help Mum more.

It lost me towards the end. I think I've just remembered why I don't watch sci-fi.

Wonder if Athena will find a way to "resurrect" Pete as a synth.

Bloody brilliant episode of a fantastic show. This series blows Westworld out of the water imo, which is far far too complicated for its own good.

Humans is a fantastic show but is nowhere near Westworlds quality imo.
Although humans was gripping this week and had me shouting at Hester lol.

Tonight's episode was brilliant, really gripping stuff. My husband had missed the last couple of episodes and said he wouldn't bother watching tonight as he'd be lost, but ended up as gripped by it as I was! This series may have had a slow start, I didn't actually mind that but I know some people were impatient for more action, but it has picked up the pace as it went along and really showed what it could do tonight. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, though sad it's the final one of this series. Am I right in thinking there's going to be a third series? I do hope so.

I'm sad Pere died tonight, but as someone else said might he be brought back as a synth?

He's dead, she (Athena) can't upload his brain/personality once he's dead.
Shame he's a gonna, really wanted a happy ending for Pete and Karen, well they'd live together until Pete died.
How could Athena turn Karen into a human.

Now if Karen and Hester can have a fight to the death in their scantys, that'll suit me.
What's with the lack of posts tonight, just got through my recording and was expecting to go through pages and posts, hasn't even got off last week's page.

On the other hand that's a conveniently fresh brain now available, if there just happens to be another lab behind the shelving...

What's with the lack of posts tonight,
Sunday night, loads to do tomorrow and other such excuses

But a really good episode, a lot of serious moments that I wasn't expecting. Though I sort of expected the one about Renie.

Leo drowned as a child and was "brought back" using synth technology so it's not entirely impossible that something similar could happen with Pete.

I prefer the characters in Humans. As far as I am concerned, there are no redeeming characters in Westworld. Actually I went to sleep in WW final episode!

Great post. I don't mind TV shows having a "slow" part, better than being rushed!

BIB - Agreed, I really liked Pete. He could have had his own spin off show - very much like a British Columbo

Have to agree, I find this much more moving.

X Factor Final, I forgot this was on as well until I saw my planner.

Regarding the lack of posts, I personally don't understand how people can watch something but also post on here about it at the same time, surely it's best to concentrate on the programme then talk about it later, anyway I thought it was a very good episode, I personally don't really care that Pete is dead, he came across as a bit of a loser.

They seem to have completely dropped the child-synth story this episode apart from a few caring scenes with Pete and their "son"?

I don't think so - that's now turned into a synth single mum storyline which may well add in the possibility of the child synth becoming conscious and they they can go totally stereotype on us.

And no takers for 'the pen is mightier than the sword'...?

BIB - Agreed, I really liked Pete. He could have had his own spin off show - very much like a British Columbo
Or, being a robot, a new 'YoYo'

Totally agree .. it's the modern smart-everything era gone mad. If they can post on here AND maintain full concentration and be suitably gripped at the same time, well good luck to them. Me, I always watch this in a darkened room with the sound put through the hi-fi into headphones .. you pick up so much more that way.

Wow! Now the second series is over already, I'm left quite breathless.

Can't believe they've killed Pete .. what's Karen going to do now and what's going to happen to seraph Sam? Has Odi deconstructed himself? Does Sophie still think she's a synth in spite of Renie coming clean? Where has Niska gone? Who's going to sort out Hester, will it be Mia? Is Mia OK now or has her head been messed with? Will Dr. Morrow succeed in reproducing her daughter? Which way is Mattie going to go - with Leo, Max and the others, or back home?

So many unanswered questions .. can't wait for a third (and probably final) series.
