For me, last night was when it all went a bit weird. I've been glued to this since it started and I'll probably have next week's on in the background as it is the last one but I'm no longer interested in a series 3.

Mattie stands a good chance of setting off the revolution, though I still think her accelerated code will turn out to be not quite right, and it can't possibly all go to plan, because nothing ever does.

Hester will change wigs and become a super-assassin. Or have to go on the run from an angry Karen.

Oh my goodness, you're absolutely right! So many other TV things were ending last night I quite thought that was it for Humans.

Perhaps next week it'll all get wrapped up nicely ... or perhaps not!

That is surprising, I thought last night was the best episode so far. Storylines coming together and the series heading towards a conclusion

I am still expecting a Niska exit in the final episode

It's not really surprising; I typically do not watch sci fi. I started watching Humans because of the cast and the story was not too wacky so stuck with it. The stuff last night in the lab was too sci fi for me but was popular on this forum (with people who had found the rest of the series a bit tedious).

I'd bought into the human-synth relationships until last night but the synths are now so machine like I can't suspend disbelif anymore.

I vastly prefer Humans to WW, and it makes me sad that it's so overlooked.

Exactly. Personally, I NEVER post during a programme - always afterwards. I know some people do though, it's just that I expected more posts after such a cracking episode!

Ooo, good episode. I really like how they drew the various story strands together, worked very well I thought.

Why did Hestor kill Pete though? Killing the doctor I understood, but Pete? Just seemed like a randomly malicious act?

I wouldn't say it was random. He's a human and she hates humans. He's also a policeman and, as such, represents human authority with a vestige interest in preventing her from exacting her revenge.

Synths could never take over as humans can use the electromagnetic pulse against them - okay it would mess up plenty of toasters as well but it could be done.

Think Karen gonna blame and kill Niska for Pete's death since she sent out the code that's waking up synths. Can see Niska saving Karen's life from Hester and killing the rouge Hester off.

I think you're right - it's going to end with a synth killing a synth because then it will have gone full circle.

Not sure how Niska figures into the finale but I can definitely see Karen killing Hestor. Yeah, it doesn't get much more human than killing your own kind...

I was excited to read that Season 3 would be aired on 13 February 2017 - until I read the actual article which talked about Season 2 airing in the USA.

Before Hester dies think she go after Mattie's family take them hostage to force Mattie to send out the code to wake up all the Synth up. Since Hester hates humans wonder what her reaction would be if she sees human children.

I hope we don't lose Niksa, Mia or Max. It's great Niksa find love Astrid and makes Niska happy just hope nothing breaks them up or gets one of them killed leaving one of them heart broken.

Hestor does seem like the hostage taking type. Does she know much about Mattie's family though? Really hope she doesn't encounter any human children to be honest. If I had to characterize her, I'd characterize her as a psychopath, someone who kills for pleasure without remorse. Niska I think is different. Niska will only kill when forced by circumstance. I do like Niska's dry wit, still can't figure out if she's doing it on purpose or not. She has to be though, doesn't she?

Niska, Mia and Max are definitely three of the best characters.

EDIT: Sorry if that all seems kinda random or something. My train of thought must have de-railed or something.

It felt like a shift in her character to me. Until then she had cold but rational reasons for torturing and killing people. It was a means to an end. In that scene she was effectively told that the core of morality is doing what feels right. It was a mistake to say that to someone so full of hate. I think she killed Pete because she wanted to, with no further goal. She was angry about what was happening in that building, frustrated at not being able to stop it, and lashed out.

It was definitely the wrong thing to say to her, but to me it seems like it's not so much hate as it is ascribing zero value to the life of a human as compared to a synth, combined with anger at the cruelty of humans, I don't think there needs to be any hate in there at all, just a complete lack of empathy.

Pete was moving to stop her so she stopped him doing that, with no thought as to whether he lived or died because at that point it didn't matter - he didn't need to be permanently silenced.

Real hate would have had her mowing them all down. With a stapler.

With Hester on a warpath against humans she'll take a few people with her before she goes down. If Hester can't get Mattie to upload the code to wake the synths up, maybe Hester upload her mind to all the synths as her last deed before she gets killed off. It wouldn't surprise me if they keep Hester alive have her be the main villain for series 3 to lead her brothers and sisters against the humans for the next series.

Hester only meet Mattie not seen the rest of Hawkins since Niska tracked down the Hawkins, Hester find a way to track Mattie down, since Mattie knows Leo, Mia and Max I can see Hester kidnapping one of them to make Mattie to come to their rescue, have Mattie go with Hester somewhere so Mattie uploads the code to all the synths.

Niksa changed abit while playing with Sophie, I can see Sophie being tricked by Hester into going with her since she likes synths, this will make Mattie come to her sister's rescue. It be shocking if Hester started to show some kindness to Sophie while Hester spends time with Sophie getting to know the little girl.

It would be better if Niska comes to Sophie's rescue, kills Hester, takes Sophie home, the Hawkins thank Niska tearfully and puts tears of joy on Niska that the Hawkins are not scared of her anymore.

I hope that awful human how sold Mia out doesn't stay on her mind and she rebonds with her friends the Hawkins.

A shocking twist it would be if something happened Laura or the husband and Mia comes back offers to help take care of the family.
