I know there's only been one highlights show, but I really like Joel so far. He seems like a nice guy, intelligent, rather 'normal' and wasn't really trying too hard on the first night. I think he's very cute too.

Is he the political Cardiff lad or the floppy haired one who stays in his bed

The political Cardiff lad....

A credit to his mother

I thought he came across very well, intelligent but naive, so will be interesting to see if he's easily led.

He might be interesting he is unlikely to get any girl action as most of the females are a bit old for him.

Therefore he has to have interesting conversation

I think he's alright. Seems like a nice enough lad.

Yup, someone young seemingly with some intelligence is refreshing to see.

He seems ok...a bit of a wet blanket so far but he could improve.

But can we trust a kid who wants to be an MP as a career...I remember the character in Harry Enfield's show called "Odd Kid"...that's this guy.

I like Joel, it's refreshing to see a 19 year-old actively engaged in politics. He seems intelligent and I'm interested to see what he'll contribute in terms of conversation.

Yep, I remember that character too but Odd Kid was a better fit for him...just my opinion.

Odd Kid's parents wanted him to be his age and play with his toys but the kid always gave adult like answers to their questions.

I like him. I don't agree with his political views as such but I like seeing young people into politics.

Tory Boy banging on about "tax cuts".

Maybe they edited out the bit where he called for fair wages and an end to big business robbing us at both ends through low wages and tax avoidance.

Then again, probably not.

He can go **** himself as far as I'm concerned.

I like him so far but I do wonder what he'll be like in the weeks to come and numbers start dwindling. I am hoping he will raise the calibre of conversations in the house.
