I quickly forget past series of BB so I'm sure some of you can help me out but I was thinking about the producers' selection of LGBT housemates and wondering just how many they pick who seem to be over the top.

Showbiz Simon was the latest in a long line of ridiculously camp HMs and Adjoa was asking Jade if she liked pussy before the lass could finish her first drink. I would love to see someone of a sexual minority who seems humble and down to earth. Is it possible they are told to play on the fact?

(I'm aware there are also OTT straight HMs, the percentage just seems extremely lower.)

Can't think of any, but BB doesn't really reflect the LGBT community very well, although Adjoa is beautifully feminine and is not a butch lesbian like BBs other lesbians, Lisa BB10, Wolfy, or Toya from last year.

Or maybe she was asexual, she seemed to hate all humanity and wanted everyone to be as miserable as her, I usually vote once, but voted about 20 times to get her out, and then won £200 at the bookies coz she wasn't the favorite to go. The only housemate I was truly happy to see get booed and abused by the roughs in the crowd.

There are a couple of decently human LGBT housemates like Christopher but even his is a little on the camp side. Nothing wrong with that but it would be nice to see the other 90% of the gay male community which isn't camp reflected. Similarly Lesbians haven't generally been very diverse either. Most female sexual diversity has been in the form of "bicuriousness". And generally genuinely bisexual men and women have been massively under represented.

90% of the gay community isn't camp? Where are your statistics to back this claim?

It seems like the minute a gay man on Big Brother starts acting the least bit socially unmasculine, he's marked as camp. There have been a lot of non-camp gay men like Christopher, Dan, Mario, Seany, and David (from BB8, bisexual). Yes, they have moments of campness, because they're real people with many facets to them.

My absolute favourite gay (and not overtly camp) was Gerry.

Actually he might be my favourite BB contestant ever. BB5 Dan was lovely too - I don't think compared to Marco he was overly camp - then again anyone compared to Marco would seem straightish.

I've had hundreds of gay friends and acquaintances in my life but no openly bisexual ones. Is it that common?
