This year I have praised it after a few hours and I am really not regretting it at all so far

Granted there was the usual noms meddling, in giving Jack 3 immunities and Nick the face to face every week penalty which I'm not a big fan of, but if the TPTB don't stick their oar in too much and let this series flow naturally it could be a winner”

I'm just not finding the HMs very interesting or engaging. That and the over-use of twists are the big problems for me.

In a way I'm glad there's no live feed, because I'd probably watch the HMs more if there were, and I don't think they're worth it.

Of course, as the series goes on that may change. I might find one or more HM I like watching and want to see more of. But so far, the HMs aren't doing it for me; and it's even a bit sickening to think one of them might win £150,000.

I don't necessarily have a problem with wannabes, models, and so on. They can be good HMs; I'm not sure there's even a positive correlation between being in those categories and being a poor housemate. So having some 'normal' people as HMs doesn't in itself make a BB series seem much better to me. Yet it seems to be at least 70-80% of what's being liked about bb16.

the house has to have a wide selection of people otherwise it would be dull and likely to fail.

i find it creepy people want to watch what would be no different to a random selection of people on a bus going home from work.

and i thank the heavens those people are not running tv!

that's because there are no nasty obnoxious people in there for once , for the first time it actually feels like BB from the channel 4 days so glad we got a new person in charge of BB, now the old one was clearly nasty & twisted , notice how much it's changed now the old one is gone ?

I do think you are right Rachael, that survey was a bit damning, last year for me was not a good one at all, mainly because I just could not bear one HM and he seemed to hang on a lot longer afterwards..

This year looks really promising and I am looking forward to it, a lot of different characters with big differences in their outlooks and personalities.

Too early for me to decide on likes and dislikes as I have already changed my opinions a couple of times already..

It sought of has that 18-25 youthful MTV beach vibe to it. Not sure how that will hold for 10 weeks though.

I think we prefer controversial and competitive manipulators with a big dose of drama.

Not everybody is a big fan of constant drama to be fair

I don't mind the odd argument if it happens naturally but just every day and manufactured, no thanks and very draining

True it's one of the reasons I have stopped watching over the past few years.

This one is already my fave C5 BB as in the others the arguing had already begun.

It does feel a bit "old school" at the moment but I have a feeling they are going to ruin it with lots of twists.

Because there were no nasty obnoxious people in the C4 days?
