Dual sim phone and EE
So I broke my LG G3, my father in law is currently in Japan and I asked him to look at phones for me. I'm thinking of getting the Zenfone 2 which is dual sim.
If I got the £15.99 2gb unlimited calls/texts and the £20 30day 15gb data package, I in theory would be getting 17gb a month for £35.99 a month. Ok,if I used the 15gb up I would have to swap the sims round as one sim slot is 2g only... But that seems like a good deal to me, especially as I could cancel the 30 day contract and upgrade the other sim if I thought it was costing to much... So my question is... Can I use the data only sim in this way? |

Do you tether any of this data?. If not, then why not just sign up for the BT Mobile Deal, (which runs on EE) and gives you 20GB of 3G / 4G Data, Unlimited Calls and Unlimited Texts as well as Unlimited BT Wifi access for £25 a month (reduced to £20 a month if you are a BT broadband customer)http://www.productsandservices.bt.co...ans/nonbb.html You would save money and not need to keep swapping sims around. |

I do tether, but also BT isn't the double speed. I was just looking at the peoples operator £9.99 deal for calls and texts as well. That would bring it under £30 a month

I can't see why you couldn't do that. Not familiar with the phone. I've got a ZTE Blade S6 which is cheap and nasty but actually works very well. You can easily select which SIM you want to use for outgoing calls / SMS. On my phone at least you could do what you want to do.
You would need to remember which SIM was in which slot. On mine, when I do an SMS it gives me 2 send arrows. A blue one for SIM 1 and a green one for SIM 2 (I think). So you would have to get your head around that. Maybe you could mix up the networks a bit. I've got a VOD sim for calls and an EE sim for data which works very well for me at the moment. It also means that if I'm in an area where only one works, I can either call on the EE sim or switch them if I want to use VOD for data (not a situation I have ever found as yet). |

On my Samsung S5 Dual Sim phone you can choose which SIM is using 4G and which is using 2G by a menu selection (only one can be 4G at any one time) so no SIM swapping is necessary, just a menu reconfig when needed.
Check the phone specs to see if this is the same for your model. Jeff |
