Should have been "if you stay the prize fund will be zero". Then it would've been a real decision.

Well he would have walked without question if the money went! He's in it for the £150,000 just the same as the rest of them.

Jack McDermott snubbed the prize of a brand new car to STAY inside the Big Brother 2015 house in tonight’s twist.

Earlier in the week and a poll on the official Big Brother app asked us viewers who we wanted to WIN.

However we were also warned that while the winner of the poll would enjoy power, with power came a price.

Tonight the twist was unveiled.

Live from the house, Big Brother revealed that Harriet, Danny and Jack had received the most votes in the poll.

They went outside to the garden to find three Timebombs just like on Launch night, with Big Brother this time telling them which bomb to stand behind.

With Harriet in tears of fear, the trio each had to detonate their respective time bombs with JACK being crowned the ‘winner’. The other time bombs were empty.

Jack then made his way to the Diary Room where he was given a big dilemma, watched on by the other housemates on a screen from the living room.

As the ‘winner’, Jack was offered the prize of a brand new BMW car but on condition he LEFT the house immediately.

But further to that, if he did pick the car and leave, the £150,000 prize fund would be scrapped.

Given 30 seconds to make a choice, Jack instantly decided to stay.

He said: “I appreciate everyone who voted for me but I’m staying, it might come back to bite me on the a**e but there you go.”

As a result, the £150,000 prize fund stays.

BUT WAIT, THERE WAS MORE.

In a return to the house, Big Brother then dropped another Timebomb, telling Nick Henderson he had to give his first set of face to face nominations.

He chose to put Adjoa Mensah and Sarah Greenwood up for the axe.

What did you make of tonight’s show? Are you happy with the results? Tell us in the comments below!

Remember, Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.

That was certainly a silly decision by BB.
If it was just between the car or staying in then Jack looked to be 50/50 about whether the fun experience of BB was worth giving up.
But then when the prize money was at stake it was basically about how he came off, either noble or completely selfish. The choice was obvious.

Overall the twist didn't really work too well in my opinion. I mean it's bad enough that he already has 3 immunity passes, but now BB has basically bought him a few weeks of immunity aswell. I don't have a problem with Jack but it's too much for just 1 housemate to have.

I wonder if the producers were worried about the lack of drama that came with the twist so they had to throw in Nick's face-to-face noms as a back-up.
Funnily enough those were rather boring and predictable aswell.

Just watching this now. The prize fund should never have been brought into it, unless Jack could have left with it tonight.

The producers are always kind of on the cusp of an idea and ruin it,

He was a little contradictory though
"How long do I get to decide?"
to
"It's a no brainer"

Probably thinks he's already won the show outright - hell, even the public have told him so (rolleyes). He can buy the car and have enough change for a few pies when he does, is what I felt went through his head.

Maybe I'm just being cynical though

He should have taken the car when he had the chance. What if someone else is in exactly the same position later on and they choose to take the car? He'll have lost the car and the chance of the £150k.

He could have taken it, whatever the others say (unless he wins which even as big producer fave isn't a certainty) PAs won't earn him that kind of cash once you deduct expenses.

There's no way they would have reduced the prize fund to zero - just like they lied and said he was the winner of BB 2015. They would have had a task to bump it back up, at least.

(Probably add 1 + 1 then divide the total in half in fifteen minutes - they would have struggled but got there in the end I think.)

But long-term, win or lose, he's done himself a lot of favours, and only negatives (cash aside) would have come out if he'd done it.

The producers knew what they were doing with this 'bombshell'. Win-win either way for them as they continue to make the rules up on the spot.

Pieface totally missed out, if he took that BMW Sarah would've been attracted to him because of the car and he could have the option of being a virgin no more.
