A bit of a cheap shot not including your source really.

Flipkart leaked it so who knows.

The story from phone arena

Quote:
“Indian on-line retailer Flipkart is obviously expecting the third-generation Motorola Moto G to be available soon. A page has already been put up for the next iteration of the Moto G, which is expected to come with the model number AP3560AD1K8. While there is no image of the phone connected to the listing at this time, the color shown is "white."

The only spec listed is the native storage which weighs in at 8GB. Rumored specs include a 5-inch or 5.2-inch display carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The 64-bit Snapdragon 610 SoC is rumored to be under the hood, and it includes a quad-core 1.7GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 2GB of RAM is said to be inside and there should be support for 4G LTE connectivity.

Unfortunately, we don't have any leaks about the other specs like the cameras and battery. We also don't have a clue about when the third-gen Moto G will be officially introduced. As far as the page is concerned, it could just be a test by Flipkart in anticipation of the third-gen Moto G's eventual launch. Why test it now unless it will soon be used? Good question and one that might be hinting at the introduction of the phone much sooner than later.

I guess the model number is the significant bit. I'm sure version 3 will be out this year.

I've also heard there may be an iphone 7 coming out sometime

It's pretty obvious Motorola will be launching a replacement Moto G and I think we can safely say that will be replaced by another Moto G the following year.

they should consider a new naming convention though

Not only consider it, they should implement it too. Otherwise it's gonna get bloody confusing!

Tell me these specs are fake, much worse than the original ones.

Looks like the new Vodafone phone is a better deal.

The latest leak; Moto G (2015) specs include 5” 720p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, 13MP main camera, 5MP selfie camera, and 2,470 mAh battery. The phone will be offered in two iterations - 1GB of RAM with 8GB expandable storage, and 2GB of RAM with 16GB expandable storage.

A bit of a disappointment. Hope the price stays the same. If Tesco leaves the mobile phone market, it may not be such a bargain as before. Asda sold the last few 1st gen G 4G for £49 so it makes you wonder how much profit they make on every phone.
