Well, it was about 'movie acting' to be precise. He said on Graham Norton tonight he'd love to do movie acting but nobody's tried to cast him in a film for some reason and that he thinks he'd have been ideal for the Karate Kid remake.

But in the topic of this thread: now Michael McIntyre has expressed a desire to do screen acting, I wonder if we could see him make a guest appearance in Doctor Who at some point?

I think it would be great fun. The show's had Lee Evans so why not Michael McIntyre?

An Asian shopkeeper?

What?

To be fair, I can't see an option for 'I'd prefer that he wasn't in the series'.

Yes...he should play Sarah-Jane reincarnated as an evil gypsy called Dr.Eccleston in a musical episode set in post revolutionary France. It would be great 3D.

Now this I'd be up for.

He often comments on his oriental look, either comparing himself to a chinese or asian man.

Id vote for none at the moment. We have yet to see him in an acting role. He could be a terrible actor for all we know. The show has had Lee Evans but in that case he had already been involved in some very successful films.michael would need to prove himself as an actor first before I welcome him in an acting role in who

...yes. But he isn't actually oriental is he? So any 'Asian shopkeeper' he played would essentially be an impersonation of an Asian man.

Screw it. While you're at it bring back The Black and White Minstrel Show and Love Thy Neighbour. Christ.

....Way to take a joke option in a poll seriously.

He'd be perfect for the part of 'smug twonk who thinks he's funny'.

He could play a comedian on the show.

They could do a Mummy On The Orient Express-style episode, with the 02 arena....IN SPACE!

There's a limit to how much DW can stretch into bizarre fantasy that tests most WHO fan's believability. This would be one of them on a par with the Moon is an egg.

That final poll option has been amusing me for a good five hours and no signs of stopping. Brilliant stuff DB.

I'm a third for that option.

No offence, but this thread seems a bit odd. What I mean by that is, a comedian randomly comments about wanting to do movie acting, then you decide somehow that means that even though he said movie acting that somehow means tv acting, and that he'd be willing (because we don't know for sure) and able to do doctor who.

Not only that but based on your thread title and opening post talking about a possible guest role, I was expecting a 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe' type poll, but not only have you not given us the option of a 'no' answer at all, you've given us a list of possible options that most of which are way more than guest appearance roles.

It seems like you are just a big fan of Michael Mcintyre, and you'd like to see him in the show at some point, so really you may as well have just said that in your opening post, rather than pretending to ask us a question when it isn't really a question at all, as you haven't given us an option to say no.

The Doctor could sit in a seat and a Dalek would have to find The Doctor. Would take a while as there are a lot of seats.

Dalek- "Where is The Doctor?"
The Doctor- "I'm here"
(Dalek looks while The Doctor moves to another seat.)
Dalek-"Where is The Doctor?"
The Doctor-"I'm here"

The Moon would be, more likely to be a cheese ball.

Ahhh. I take it that you've not come across Dalekbuster before?
Odd posts seem to be his speciality...

Then broken noises are hilarious and we should all have one.

Whilst Michael McIntyre looks in his Man Drawer for a Sonic W**k Key.
