I have indeed seen many of his weird and wondeful posts, but I was trying, perhaps in vein, to present him with a little logic.

Judging by his history, he's not open to it.

In a story set in a parallel universe. No thanks, unless his character meets a grim end.

& he has a disturbing obsession with MM.

I think MM may be a good actor, he cant do comedy or chat shows, he must be capable of something.

Unaccountably, there's no option for "A would-be companion who dies at the beginning of the episode".

I've just noticed; on the main page this topic is abbreviated to "Michael McIntyre wants to ..."

**** right off?

I'm going to his live show later this year, should be good

Personally, I think he would make a good male (re) incarnation of River.

Asian Shopkeeper is still the funniest thing I've seen on the internet in months. Some days I remember this poll exists and I have a little chuckle to myself and no one will ever know what I'm laughing about. And that's a beautiful thing.

The fact I never knew this thread existed had made me want to come back on this forum more often ......

This is like a riddle. Or a Chinese proverb. Wait. Do you work in a shop?

What if the woman in the shop wasn't Missy?

Missy lied. The woman in the shop was Michael McIntyre in drag.

And not just drag either if your idea is anything to go by. A silk kimono perhaps? Controversial.

We should make extra effort to keep it alive. If only as a constant memento not to take life too seriously! Or maybe that's just for me...

Shouldn't it be *An* Asian shopkeeper. I do find incorrect use of the indefinite article hilarious. You're right.

Swype for Android is great, but I do wish I read more of my posts before hitting submit reply!

So, if Michael doesn't appear as an Asian shopkeeper soon, it's Stephen Moffats' fault right?

No, I think i should go with Digital Spy style and blame the star Peter Capaldi instead.

Are you available for parties?

I watched the Comedy Showcase charity gig on C4 last night, and MM was on it. He was, as is his comedy, middle of the road. He is funny, but not hilarious. It's very 'safe' comedy - broad to the point of generic.

And I think a lot of wannabe aspirational middle-class people want to be seen find him hilarious,as he makes all those middle class references (for example, last night's skit had a section all about coming back from Dubai - because of course we've all been there...).

I have yet to see him act, but I wouldn't want him on Doctor Who based on his comedy alone. It (or he) doesn't offend me: I'm ambivalent toward him.

I'm happy to see that 3 people besides myself wanted MM to play Alpha Centauri.

Not that I want MM in DW - I can't stand him; but I would endure him if I could have Alpha Centauri back.

I don't know. In what capacity? I can do an offensive Asian accent and I'm till trained. Didn't think there was much call for any of that at a party? Ohhh is it DalekBuster's birthday party? Will there be ice cream and jelly?!

Ice cream. Jelly. Casual racism. Captain Jack. Robot dogs. Pin the tail on Miranda Hart. Fireballs. Ceremonial burning of a Ninth Doctor effigy. More fireballs. Spring rolls. No sharp objects.

I know what present to buy him.

Clue: It begins with L, ends in O and has an E and a G in the middle.

I'm in. As long as it ends with a hilarious Michael McIntyre DVD.
