No problems here with Hosted Exchange (Fusemail UK) on iOS. Always up to date.
Gigabit: Surely if an app requests it stays active, it's allowed to?? I use (and resell) Livedrive and they have recently (and at last for God's sake ! : ) updated the Livedive app from it's old iOS 6 style to a new totally rebuilt from the ground up app that is pretty damned amazing. The biggest and best feature is it can now back up your photos and videos to the Livedrive briefcase which admittedly is an extra charge (over the standard backup) but it's a minimum of 512GB of storage!!!! (basically Dropbox but private and much bigger). As long as I leave it in the background it faultlessly backs up every photo I take almost right away. Never really had any issues with background apps not doing what they should. |

I did the opposite in moving from an iPhone 5s to the Sony Xperia Z3 and honestly can't seem to notice any difference when using some apps and features, obviously Android has a more of a tech and gadget feel to there devices with some of the ways you do things on the phones, don't ask me to elaborate it is just how I see and feel it now. Whereas iPhone to me now just looks and feels like a fashion accessory tha the "cool" kids must have, when I use my iPhone 5s now iOS just feels so simple and easy to use, there isn't any actual logic in the software. The battery life and app optimisation is so much more advanced on Android than iOS aswell.
All in all I honestly don't think that I will never use or get an iPhone again. |

It more depends on the email service provider and if you're using iOS mail app or a third party app.

Also the one thing that I find cool with Android is the versatillity of the software, I mean Sony, Samsung, HTC etc. all have devices powered by Android but it looks different on each device made by each company, the Nexus "stock" Android UI looks boring compared to the UI on my Sony Xperia Z3.
