What would of happened if Jack had took the car and money? the other housemates would have nothing to be in the house for the producers may as well of told them all to go home

It was staged.

They would have had prizefund themed tasks.decisions to make for money...etc.he should have known this.the money would have been put back

I think they would have put the money back sooner or later.

They would either have to earn it back or one HM would have to do something to get it back i.e agree to be up for evection every week.

That was a very risky thing to do these producers are off their heads on these time bombs

Not risky at all. The money would have been reinstated sooner or later.

I expect to see at least one further similar stunt.

It would have made the show better.

He (the big favourite) would have gone opening up the competition, and if the HM's thought there was no prize money to claim we might have seen the real them come out...but with money on offer they'll try and show us their best behaviour now.

Exactly. Jack made a mistake. Early faves rarely win.

Now that would have been entertaining if he had have done.

There was never any danger of Pieface taking that car..for 2 main reasons. #1) While it was tempting to take, they made damn sure it'd be to the great detriment of ALL the other HMs(as well as himself having to leave) by being extreme with the prize fund and threatening to reduce it to 0. Which leads us to the main reason for his refusal> #2) A slice of the pie is clearly not enough for our tubby game-player. It's fairly obvious that nothing but the WHOLE pie will do for Pieface. He knows he's fooling most of the viewers with his little act so he's naturally wanting to stay and receive the full prize.

I had to laugh at the way the little prick was carrying on afterwards like he'd just acted "selflessly" and was doing them all a favour! when all he was really thinking about was how much he would likely be doing himself out of. He's already displaying a self-entitled attitude towards the win and the prize money. That's why he was rattled directly afterwards when he figured he wouldn't be the only 1 who gets offered the chance of a hit&run! I'd actually love it if that happens, watching him crumble and become infuriated by seeing "his" prize fund become smaller&smaller would be bliss...

I would have cheered.

I very much doubt he will win and now he won't have a car either.

How can you say Saint Jack wont win? he can't lose now...unless it turns out he was once in Helen Wood fanclub...but that aside I cant see him not winning.

He should have drove out in the car, then turned back round and drove back into the garden and run over everyone and shouted "STILL THINK I SHOULD HAVE WON, BRITAIN?" then drove the car into a wall.

If he wanted to be entertaining.

They'd probably had to have built it back up like in BB5. What I'm more concerned about is they said he'd have to drive off in the new car but he can't drive!

Getting into that rather small car might have posed enough of a challenge for Jack.

Doesn't the TIMEBOMB concept give them free-reign to 'rewind' or 'reset' any decision they like anyway?

They really would be in there for the experience.

Yes.

Which is why I fully expect to see Showbiz Si returned at some point.

If Jack had taken the car, the producers would have cut back to Emma, telling us confidentially that the housemates THOUGHT the prize money had gone, but a life-changing twist would be revealed in the next few days. And hey presto, another timebomb would contain some (not all) of the money, or some mind-bending way of getting some (or all) of it back.

Good post. I agree he comes over as entitled, but not just to the win. He seems like someone who's been spoiled and babied by his parents.

But before they told him about the prize fund going, when it was just a choice between him taking the car or staying, he asked if he'd get time to decide. So I do think it only became a "no brainer" when the choice would have made him the most unpopular selfish HM ever. It really was a no brainer. But the fact that he can now seem self-sacrificing and therefore boost his stock is a bonus, and he's certainly milked it.

He CAN'T drive He said that already. He would have to learn to drive. So he could not have driven away in the car cos he would have broken the law,

It would have been far more interesting if he'd been told that the prize-money would go if he didn't take the car and leave the house, bur then I don't like him and would have liked to see him go.

Hes a gambler and probably worked out he gets roughly 9/2 odds if he lets go of the car. The fool has no chance of winning the show so messed up big time....bird in the hand etc
