Which Nomination process do you prefer?

From BB1-BB13 the nomination process was simple. The 2 or more housemates who received the most nominations were automatically put up for eviction. For BB14,it changed and is seemingly now 3 or more although it does seem to vary on who the producers these days want up.

For me there are positives and negatives to both..

BB1-13 was more exciting and unpredictable to see who would actually be up but could lead to the bigger characters or a favourite leaving early and deadwood/annoying housemates staying till the end. It was also probably more obvious as to who would go since there were usually only 2 up.

BB14-Present does seem to allow evictions to seem less obvious as there is more housemates up and make it easier to get rid of deadwood but it can be a mess. The producers seem to change their minds each week as to if it is 3 or more up or just the ones who received two nominations. It can also be unfair losing someone who maybe had 2 nominations against someone who had 5+ and it's not that interesting as pretty much everyone ends up facing the vote in the first few weeks.

Which one do you prefer?

I don't mind either way.

As long as they don't go back to the stupid everyone with at least two nominations is up rule.

Edit - Mis-read the question BB1-BB13

I like it when more than two up myself, the current rules work - it weaken the those housemates that group together and vote a certain way - last cbb was a good example with Katie Hopkins and her group, think they voted the same way until the last round nominations. the 3+ rule works most of the time.

There are no rules now lets face it !! It's 'make it up as you go along and to hell with the audience' .

I quite liked the head to head evictions.

I would prefer 3 or more up when its Vote To SAVE. but don't expect channel 5 to ever get it right. Doh

I like rules and I like it when Big Brother sticks by them. The whole 'BB can change the rules at any time' thing was used sparingly throughout the Channel 4 run, but the C5 producers cling onto it to keep the series 'exciting'. I don't find injustice or manipulation exciting I'm afraid.

So two or more with the most nominations by their fellow housemates up for eviction, with the public evicting one. The original, and still the best format.

3 or more

its less predictable and stops the bigger cliques getting rid of smaller groups by block voting

OP is right. Both have pros and cons but they should stick to one, all series and not keep manipulating it for their favourites to stay in.

They both suck!! Big Brother Australia gets it right with "Nominations Points". I really wish BBUK would follow their lead.

Each HM has 5 points to to give to 2 HMs. They can give a HM 3 points and the other HM 2. Or they can divide them up into 1 point and the other HM gets 4.

By the end of it all , the 5 HMs with the most points fave eviction. (It sounds complicated but it's really not!)
It's also very clear as a viewer that producers aren't manipulating nominations.

I like 3 or more up (as it works against housemates trying to rig the vote) but do not like 2 nominations are you are definitely up (as it helps housemates to rig the vote).

I think 3 is enough but when it becomes 5/6 each week, it just becomes a bit pointless even having nominations if half the house are gonna be up each time. I do think something had to be done after BB13 when the insiders just aimed for the outsiders and we lost Lauren and were left with the likes of Ashleigh,Luke S,Caroline,Becky and Conor for most of the series..

I agree.

Love the 3 or more up rule but i hate that it only takes 2 nominations to be up, that is just stupid. They should just do the 3 people with the most nominations is up for eviction.

3 or more up. 1 v 1 evictions tend to be really predictable.

its a great idea, but i think its presumed the UK audience are too thick to 'get it'. also Australia use the superior vote to ''save'' a housemate, so it makes more sense they have multiple up every week.

Isn't that what Nigel Farage kept saying during the election?

3/4/5 is ideal. 2 makes it too obvious and more like a VTS than a VTE, and more than 6 up is just tedious. The 6-8 way evictions last year were boring to sit through, and far too many HMs up.
