Pointless using the Golden Buzzer on an act that is never gonna win in a billion years. Even the silly David knows she'll never win.

He clearly did it to wind simon up.
I love the fact that David doesn't take it too seriously he's a great judge and seems to really enjoy himself

At least she's not another boring "you've got a special talent, and I really really mean that" singer or "unique" dance act.

Any act which gets Simon narky because he doesn't understand it (or see its $$$$ potential) is usually OK in my book.

She was extremely entertaining and yes, exactly the sort of act which the golden buzzer should be used for.

David's an idiot, so why is there any surprise its an idiotic buzzer choice?

Well she was a bit daft but at least she was more entertaining than alesha's golden buzzer mediocre act

Perfectly put m'lady

I absolutely loved her, and going on forums that aren't filled with total miseries (lol), it would seem she was incredibly well received.

Do I think she should win? So far, her act poops all over the cruddy boy bands, dreary dance acts, and hideous tenor groups.

Its JUST a bit of fun. But totally a Golden Buzzer act.

Vive la Lorraine Bowen.

Yes but what annoys me is that a genuinely talented act will now be denied a place because of this. Walliams should take the golden buzzer seriously and use it to put through a proper act.

I think DW is the best part of BGT.

Ffs he is a comedian and all the po-faced moaning is driving me nuts.

I doubt it will make the slightest bit of difference. All it will mean is one of the fodder acts won't go into the live show that they would have finished bottom of the voting in.

There are probably no more than 5 or 6 acts with a chance of winning anyway

David wouldnt get that point . Everything is all about David . I saw some show ( maybe Catcthphrase ?) where David and his mother took part . Every time David opened his mouth to say something silly his mother looked at him in adoration and laughed heartily . It explained a lot of his self absorbtion

It's surely time that David was dropped from BGT. He is an idiot if he thinks that the Crumble Act woman was worth a gold buzzer. He must either be completely clueless or else trying to ruin a good show. His silly grin really gets on my nerves. He thinks he is so funny, but doesn't realise that he is "funny perculiar" and not "funny ha ha". Please Simon get rid of him.

As for the woman, she was just copying Miranda Hart and looked quite manic and stupid. I can't stand Miranda Hart anyway, and wonder why anyone would want to be like her, but then that's just my opinon.

It worries me that anyone would choose to listen to Collabro, frankly.

David Walliams is a great judge; he's the reason why BGT's viewing figures are so great at the moment and Simon Cowell knows that. He shouldn't and he won't be fired from the BGT judging panel because he generates the warmth and humour of the show that a lot of people including myself enjoy.

Yeah, I may disagree with his Golden Buzzer act but it's hilarious seeing Simon Cowell's reaction to a terrible joke act getting through. And it's also one of the reasons he'll stay; it generates controvesy and controvesy in turn generates viewers.

Why?

They are hugely talented singers, unlike this idiot with a ironing board.

Lorraine has been doing that act for longer than Miranda has been popular.

I'd say she was more worthy of the Golden buzzer than the bland 10 a penny/should have been on X Factor acts that the other judges put through on the Golden buzzer

The quality of her singing/keyboard playing is part of the act..she's more in the mould of Frank Sidebottom and John Shuttleworth than anyone.

Collabro, like any number of similar acts, are just distilled blandness. They're a handful of muppets who can hold a tune, look good in suits and know there's a market for churning out compilations of inoffensively-arranged musical theatre (or opera-lite) songs. Hardly a "huge talent".

Obviously that's just a personal opinion. Everyone has different musical tastes.

But anyway, this is apples and oranges. Lorraine Bowen's act isn't aimed at people listening on iPods, it's a comedy act with music. And I for one found it very entertaining.

(By the way, it's interesting that although we disagree about the quality of the act concerned, you and I agree about David Walliams and his use of the golden buzzer. So there's a bit of common ground after all!)
