Yes on BGT she came on and sang a song but her full act (although song based) is more than that. I actually don't think BGT is necessarily the best forum for her style of performance but clearly she thought it was worth a go and it has certainly raised her profile so it seems to have paid off.

I agree with you about all your points. I think most people just want the same vanilla nonsense every year. Little dancing kids, sob story teens on their "last chance" and dance troupes.
Oh, and not forgetting the boy bands singing the same tired old songs again and again.
And again. Because we NEVER get tired of them.
Actually, WE are probably the weirdos because most people never get tired of the sob stories or the boy bands singing those 'inspirational' songs we know and "love".
Le sigh. Bring on the Crumble song. Because, and lets face it, without UDI and Lorraine, this year is just as insipid as every other... Not much actual talent just a bunch of the same old people doing exactly the same old crap.
