Hi

I am ditching sky and moving back to Freesat, I have initially bought a Humax HDR 1000s, but it's beyond buggy and it's going straight back. Any suggestions?

TIA

The menu keeps freezing up on me and the box is not responding to the remote except for adjusting the volume. It has been working earlier this week but, for the last 2 days it's been a nightmare. My last Humax Foxsat 320GB was an amazing bit of kit, thought the 1000s would be great.

Have you tried a factory reset. Note currently the backwards epg on my freetime kit is not working on BBC channels (HDR1000s and a Panasonic TV) . A Freesat or BBC issue.

The remote issue which has been reported before is solved by pulling out the power for say 10 minutes. It happened once on my box weeks ago, so far not repeated.

If the remote is only controlling the volume, stop pressing the TV button at the top first; the Humax will only respond to commands if the PVR button next to it is active.

Only the very latest HDR1000/1010S boxes have a remote with a TV button. If the volume button still works it's controlling the Freesat box not the TV. As I posted it's a known issue, so far reason is unknown.
