I usually vote Green because I'd love to see how they'd run the country if they ever got in power and I don't like the other parties, but on this occasion I voted Labor because I want those blue bastads out, sadly my local constituancy is still blue, as well as the rest of the country

Yes, I voted UKIP. Although it seemed rather pointless, they didn't stand as a chance in my constituency as its a Tory safe seat. Still, I like being partial.

Couldn't be more wrong. People who are Rich vote Tory. Poor vote Labour. People in the middle vote both.

I can't believe how many people are fooled by the Tories

Yes. Any reasonable and responsible adult who actually thought for a moment about the impact on real people's lives of the decisions about to have taken would have done so.

No some people actually vote on policies more than any thing regardless of the colour of the party. And vote different at different elections depending on what the choices are at the time.

You are wrong. How on Earth could such a generalisation be true?

I believe I am correct in saying Tories got 36% of the vote, while Labour got 30% of the vote. Are you suggesting only 36% of the Country go to work? And 30% of the Country are unemployed?

Think about it...

Hi lover . No what in my opinion only is that Tories are for the workers and labour give more benefits to non workers. I have worked since I was 17 yrs old without a break. I am now 50 yrs old without being on benefits. Tories want to reward that and that is why I vote them x

And that's the con. They tell you it's about "working people" when in reality it is all about changing laws to make it easier for the bosses of working people to get more work from them for less money and worse terms. The Tories want you scared about losing your job so you'll do more work than you are paid for. They want you to pay for private health insurance so they can make a profit from you and back out of actually providing care on technicalities. They want you give over half you income in rent because half of Tory MPs are private landlords who want to make as much profit as possible.

I'm a person who has worked all my life, as have all my family. Never taken any benefits. But I pay my taxes so that when I am ill or if I lose my job through no fault of my own that there will be a safety net to protect me until I get myself back on my feet.

Some people don't get that. They just want the latest "thing". And of course, when the time comes they will be up shit creek. Along with the other 64% of people who didn't vote Tory.

I agree with this. I also feel that whilst they preach about people working, they don't make it especially easy for young people to work. The Job Centres screw people over, people's individual situations are not taken into account and there seems to be a perception that any paid work is better than not, regardless of what else someone is doing. If, for example, someone is living on their own and wants to learn a new skill to get a better job in the future, they will find it hard to do this, because all the pressure will involve them earning, therefore not having enough money to finance themselves doing a training course or something.

Don't be ashamed to say who you vote for, it's a democracy and you can pick who you want.

Ah but they are starting up 3 million slave labour jobs, sorry 'apprenticeships' to help the young, keeps those unemployment figures down along with all the disabled people deemed fit for work that have died or are dying at the hands of the Tories, the figures will be at a false all time low.

Yes, exactly.

I've been involved with political activism since I was 17, I think it's really important to stand up to things like that.
