Did anyone else think the conversations tonight sounded really scripted?

It's just really, really badly edited. It's no longer chronological, shots are inserted to empathisise points, so who knows what they are doing with conversations.

I don't think they are giving script prompts as the do in TOWIE etc but the are forcing narrative and character like channel 4 never did. On the other hand, channel 4 were often accused of having boring shows because the edited it naturally.

This series looks very clumsy, the editoral team should have a re-think.

They were, but the viewers were made aware of it.

Yes I do. That sprang to mind just before I got to your post. It might have even been me who brought attention to that 'scene' at the time.

I find that very odd, if it is meant to be a spontaneous conversation. There would normally be others walking in and out during the chat.”

If that's the case then why don't they at least have proper conversations when the cameras are on rather than these piece meal ones where their aim seems to be to just mention as many topics as they can and not bother to actually discuss them

I think I have a problem understanding this passive aggressive tag. I thought it meant when you don't get angry and react but sulk whilst pretending nothing is wrong when it clearly is. Aaron doesn't act like that. He has a strop and a moan and a sulk.

I'd call him childish and inexperienced in the art of making a point successfully rather than passive aggressive.

I actually think Joel is more passive aggressive in that he does stuff like laughing at the meditating but then denies responsibility. He's actually done this before.

I think you're right and this is what I alluded to earlier, that it often feels like chunks of conversations or activities have been left out and I'm left feeling confused. I'm afraid it comes back to the old LF debate

I agree re the passive aggressive thing ^^. It is a term bandied about on here and rarely used properly. Aaron is stomping about like a petulant child - I don't think it's for effect - I think that's just how he is.

Correct, as I said, it's Joel who is passive aggressive, not Aaron.

Housemates obviously have scripts now

Yep, the conversations did seem, at times, scripted. As if they'd been called to the DR & told what to discuss.

Sarah completely contradicted herself re racism.

Yeah I remember there was a lot of talk about it on here at the time. It was so obviously staged.

Yeah. Last years BB it was the same the odd night or two stood out clearly as being very scripted.

It'll be better if BB just come clean with some of this stuff and tell us some thing about how things work now. Just a little some thing will do.

Maybe it's because I'd recorded the show and watched late but it all seemed very unnatural.”

I wouldn't be startled if all the HMs had an ear piece fitted in and acting on cue by BB, as Eileen was in her secret task.

Will people STOP using the word SCRIPTED .

Do some even know what a script is ?

Do you really think they're all secretly learning a script

Just bad editing .
