Seeing the ratings are low at the moment, I knew it will never work without any feed.

Asap hopefully, but they need to advertise it majorly.

I think they will push forward plans to put old h/m in.

Wish they would but expect a 2nd house full of Old HM's who go on BOTS for 50p
Carol will be back showing everyone how to make a towel last 2 weeks without washing it.
Expect Miss Wood who production cant get enough of.

they had a perfect chance after the disaster of last year to really get the format right
and its just more of the same failed formula that's pointing to a serious problem within production.

As Unhappy posted on Twitter. FB comments
don't like the HM's
don't like the tasks
not enough coverage from the house
just one of those issues is enough to sink a series and this has all three

It is the coverage and the rubbish tasks that are the problem, Not the housemates as I don't feel like I know them anyway.

They feel overly cast (TOWIE) types on the whole like last year but there are some normal ones, they seem nicer and more diverse, and the whole production plan doesn't seem to cause conflict. Yes it'd be nice to get to know them in a genuine way.

So, there's hope if they let us do that (HUGE 'if'). I just hope they haven't already killed it with the twists. And the tasks are still rubbish

some of the comments i saw of Facebook were that the highlights show does not give enough coverage of the previous day…..
can't relate to any of the housemates as they are not from 'normalbackgrounds 'etc
the tasks are very poor what happened to 3 day long shopping tasks etc
twists are very lame and 'pointless' can't we go back to the 'old days' of BB like on C4 etc

not looking good and yet maybe this series does have some potential but i can see why many are not sticking around for more of the same

Well the highlight show in history was only there to have a look in the DR as a side thing to watching live feed, Plus the production of the show is a disgrace. Lose the name tags and get real tasks.

it seems that the viewers of C5 BB opinions on what may be wrong with the show don't really count for much and that the producers/directors etc know best.
with the decline in Towie ratings and not keeping the BB show a unique reality one which it had always been i feel it was only a matter of time for those young viewers to lose interest.

it would be good if some of our comments were read by those in charge then maybe this show still has a chance but atm its business as usual but for how much longer

So a program is getting low rating and you expect them to devote more tv time in their schedule for it.......for the riveting live feed no less.

The very fact the theme of this year is timebomb just screams how much they are going to manipulate and fiddle with this year's show....

The won't even have to hide the fixes this year - they've just been rebranded as timebombs.

lol I'd be REALLY surprised if introducing live feed improved the ratings. If people can't be bothered to watch the housemates for an hour of the day, why would they want to invest more time watching them on live feed? Sure it may make a few people on here start watching again, but no way near enough for it to have an effect on the ratings.

truly believe on TV isn't the answer.
they should either stick it online or use an app like periscope the options are endless
its the lack of imagination that's stopping it.

with very little info on what is going on in the house or what the twists/tasks are actually about its very hard to connect to the show or housemates for 45mins a day
some don't like or want to watch live feed, thats fine but the whole show launched on the simple format of watching hm's whenever you wanted 24/7
its not the only problem that needs solving but i do feel opening up the show to a 'reality' one that was unique would go some way.

I am not so sure about that.

Channel 5 and imagination do not go together.

Yes but Big Brother hasn't had live feed for a while now so I'm pretty sure that the show has burnt its bridges with most of the people who would only watch if there is live feed, and I find it very unlikely that they'd all magically come back if live feed is randomly re-introduced. I get why people want live feed (personally I don't care about it as 45 mins a day is more than enough of Big Brother for me) but the only positive effect of bringing it back would be it would please some of the people still watching the show, the damage has been done and I highly doubt there would be any noticeable positive effect on ratings if it was brought back.

Honestly, live feed is not the problem. It even seems that they've been taking the show back to its roots more this series but that has only had a negative effect on the ratings. I hate to say it as I'm a fan of the show but I think the problem is that normal Big Brother has had its day and something spectacular would have to happen for a proper resurgence in popularity to happen, not reintroducing live feed.

Absolutely, plus from a browse on here you could always get an infinitely rounder picture of what was going on and what people were like from those that were watching LF than from HLs.

BIB, not so sure about that, I have a fair few friends that ask me every time if the live feed is back and say that they'd watch if it had, I'm sure that you and many others on here have the same. Most seem to prefer the online live feed tho as opposed to the tv live feed, because if there are boring bits they can leave it on in the background and get on with other stuff, you can't do that with the tv, you're either on one channel or another. The only reason that Channel 5 or Endemol won't do live feed is because they can't manipulate it quite so much with live feed in place.
