This series is worse than Power Trip so far.

im sorry to start a thread on my personal opinion, which im sure alot will disagree with, as power trip was awful

but thinking back to this far in last year, atleast we had some characters we felt passionate about (hated) , atleast stories were forming, atleast we have had moments ie 'get some bloody class ya weirdo man' danielle to helen

i cant see this series lasting the distance im afraid, and what with VTE being used yet again, i think its fairly obvious already who will be out.

im sure the producers will come up with yet more pointless twists which the audience couldnt give an arse about. along with 'Armageddon week part 2' . when things really do take a nosedive.

I'd rather see people just being themselves than being manipulated into having arguments with one another constantly.

Actually I am quite enjoying the old school vibe so far.

Tonight was like an early BB episode - early days and not a lot happened but the characters are starting to show through. The series could go either way at this point but if we ask for less meddling from the producers the results will be programs like we had tonight which are character rather than event driven.

It'll never last but might as well enjoy it while it does

As I said in another thread I'm loving this more than any other C5 series.

At least it's not 24/7 arguing.

There isn't any of last years lot so it's better.

Only Christmas was nice every single one of the others were the nasty pieces of work.

Christmas would have got on a lot better in this year's series.

Well this is the first CH5 series that has me actually pining for live feed...

Even an hour a night after the HL would suffice.

Don't be silly. Helen, Pauline, Steven etc...how did we cope? Best part was by far '2 second Steven' chants. Most original chant ever.

I have pretty much forced myself to forget the series.

Christopher would have been much better in this series.

Has this got any better yet then?

You really can't judge a few days of a series against the whole series. I know you were judging it based on what had happened in power trip by this time, but that's exactly the problem as with most of the C5 series they've had strong starts but by the third or fourth week all the potential drama has already happened and the show becomes stale as a result, with this series it looks set to be more of a slow burner and will hopefully therefore be better in the long term and feel fresher throughout.

I personally am preferring this series so far. I like that they're all getting along, and even the little fall outs are forgotten and they move on. It's reminding me more of how big brother used to be, the first week or so they did get to know each other and get on, then characters come out their shells a bit more.

As far as I can gather it's an excuse to do literally anything the producers want under the guise of time travel.
