if the BBC was put up for sale, or forced to sell off its more commercial friendly assets by a foolish government then yes anyone could buy Doctor Who.

Comic book wise, if Marvel wanted the rights to Doctor Who they could bid next time the rights are up for renewal, but I dont see what Marvel with its cast of thousands gains (and a highly successful movie universe) from owning Doctor Who.

In reality a deal for Doctor Who would be hampered by the Daleks not being part of it.

FYI, it DID have the Marvel logo on it, until it got replaced with the Panini one after the buyout. And like I said, it isn't Marvel now. Panini bought their UK arm lock stock and barrel.
