Moto E Screen change
Afternoon folks.
Recently managed to change the screen on my daughter's Moto E after she dropped it. Picked up the screen from Amazon for a very reasonable 20 quid, and changed in about an hour - go me!! It now works fine, except for the power button. This doesn't work in-call, but does work for everything else. Also, you can speak into it and be heard, but not hear anything through it at all in a call. However the external speaker does work - the one that's used for playing music and the like. I have done a full factory reset on the handset, including clearing out the cache through the boot menu, to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?? |

I'm no expert by any means but it sounds as though there's a connector that been damaged. Might be a start to open it up again and see if there's any obvious damage.

I did. There wasn't. If there was an issue with a connection, one would assume the fault would be present all the time, which it isn't.
