I've started Series 1 loads of times on YouTube, but I've never got around to finishing it. I may well watch BB3 one day. I know it had the first female winner, that's something notable about it, and introduced both Jade Goody and Alison Hammond.”

I started watching 8 last year and gave up near the end. I also watched half of 7 but just sort of stopped. I managed to re watch all of 5 which is also defo worth a view! I've attempted 1, 2, 6 and 10 but I watch a couple of days then give up. After this series I think I'll try 1 again as I never manage more than a couple of episodes.

Maybe if she led a normal life away from the media she would led a healthier life and got checked more often by the doctor...but I see your point.

No, actually she had been investigated for several years and it went undetected. She did everything right and kept appointments. Sometimes it just happens that way despite everyone's efforts.

I think she, or anyone else, was far more likely to be able to eat the sort of (expensive) diet that doctors say can prevent cancer, by being in the media and having a decent income.

Fair enough.

Sad tho.

Like many young women she didn't take the risk seriously and missed lots of appointments. Very sad. But her death publicised the risks.

I can't even remember Lynne.

She did everything wrong and missed many appointments.

Lynne, Scottish woman, she lost her temper with Spencer for making noise when she was trying to sleep...I think that got her evicted as she came across grumpy.

Hmmm, if that's true I again wonder if she wasn't famous and had a different lifestyle would she have missed those appointments?

I remember Jade collapsing with stomach pains and being rushed to hospital during 'Back to Reality' in 2004.

To answer the OP, I wouldn't have thought Lynne would have lasted long had she stayed.

In an interview she admitted missing appointments and that she regretted it because of her children.

I think it was disproven at the time. I don't remember the details. Rearranged rather than skipped?
It looks to me like she did everything she could to make the doctors take her complaint seriously and it is not reasonable to blame her when she was repeatedly told that she had nothing wrong with her.

Her own words... http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/celebri...e-three-months

How absolutely dreadful for her to have to live with "what ifs"

She prompted many others to get checked , that's a good legacy. I really liked Jade. She had a good heart.

I remember early on in her series she sat and talked to Tim? about schools and she told him that she wanted her children to go to private schools because then they would be educated like him. I was one of the most moving conversations of that year's BB as far as I'm concerned and I have always remembered it.

Once she knew she had no hope she worked her socks off trying to provide for her sons.

Yes she did. I remember the conversation too. She had plenty of faults but she tried to change and better herself and she made a good life for her boys. I think they will be very proud of her.
