Rootmetrics:4G in the UK
A fairly lengthy report but interesting nonetheless.

Intresting read, Shame they never tested my home town of Carlisle but that could be due to network roll out... Or we're just not big enough :').
I know EE here has great 4G and friends sit about 50mb! Myself on 3 gets patch 4g (Not rolled out) Between 20mb and 75mb! Jamie |

Shame they only test in the big cities, as I'm sure it would be a totally different picture if they tested in smaller towns and even down to villages in more rural locations.

This comment sums up Three's 4G rollout: Quote:
To put this in perspective, consider that Three’s best rate was still lower than the worst coverage rate for any other operator (48.5% in Hull for EE, 45.6% in Coventry for O2, and 45.4% in Coventry for Vodafone).

It's an interesting report but in my opinion it should cover more stats. For example latency. At home I get EE and Voda 4g. 50mbps on EE and 35mbps on Voda but 80ms ping on EE and 25ms ping on Voda. The Vodafone feels quicker because of that and you couldn't work that out just from the bandwidth.
