Night & Day/Crossroads
So Night & Day is to be relegated to late eveningson ITV 1 from next month.
What price Crossroads getting dropped to the middle of the night on ITV 2? |

Well i was a BIG Fan of Night and Day for the first few months the show was on but now i dont bother. The idea of the Jane going missing in the first few weks was a good one but 6 months later and they were still going on about her being missing and it got on my nerves so i ditched the show.

I watched Night & Day for the first few weeks and while I admire it for being groundbreaking, I think it got too clever and indulgent for its' own good.
If ITV 1 move the hursday night edition to 10.30pm, it'll probably build a fair audience. As for Crossroads, I've got a dreadful feeling that it'll stay on - but thrice a week. That's what I've heard. Still, one must not give up hope. |

I also liked Night and Day, but the last month it has got unwatchable. It's like Twin Peaks on acid this week - Natalie keeps dreaming that she and her missing daughter Jane are lying next to a half naked Josh and touching him up!!
I do like the camerawork and the thought behind it - but it's seriously lacking in believable storylines! |

I think that N&D is good. But the whole Jane story is getting boring. It statred back in November and is still going. I like the background music and the camera angles though. the dreams are really good too. If the show was on at 10 or 10:30 on thursday nights then the viewing figures would increase.
Crossroads is not really that interesting. It is just another soap so I wouldn't be too upset to see it get axed. The characters are not strong and it does have a lot of bedhopping (Beena and Jake, Sally and Des, Lorranine and Des....) If Crossroads was combined with Night and Day it would be interesting... |

Love Crossroads, and they have already cut a lot of the characters I liked. They have removed Bradley and Tom, (really sweet gay couple), Aunty Doris, Mandy, Patrick, and there are more.
To be honest they seem to be killing the characters off so there are none left, then they can dispose of the programme. I heard rumors the other months if Crossroads didnt get the audience figures up it would be scrapped. They are spoiling this programme by the axing of good characters, and the storylines recently are getting a bit odd, though I am enjoying the Tracey alcoholism one. The Adam Chance storylines are getting a little silly, and I expect him to return very soon, which will make Crossorads a bit more bizarre. Night and Day is not something I enjoy as it just dont take my fancy. The theme music is great, I always watch the end of it for the theme (bit sad but hey ho!). I see that Dorien from Birds of a Feather is still a man eater. But as for the naughty night version, I dont think it is necessary. |
