Its becoming increasingly hard to find websites that offer an objective take on the products companies they are writing about. I hate it.

Take BGR for example, for months its been so hot on the heels of any perceived faults relative to Galaxy S6. I understand it completely when certain focussed websites like Android Central or Macrumours offer a narrower view point. I just fail to understand why the likes of BGR, Engagdet are so up Apple's arse they can taste the toothpaster.

I like to think of myself as fair and objective, but is it any wonder sites like those mentioned and others make it difficult for potential buyers to figure out what works best for them. I think DigitalSpy gets away with it, given the coverage on the site is so vast and expansive.

Why is it so hard to find an objective opinion on the interweb these days?

Tell me about it. It's becoming so hard to find non bias opinion on the web about mobile products.

Almost as hard as the Corning® Gorilla Glass® 4 on the Galaxy S6.

Carefully crafted from metal and glass, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge blend purposeful design with powerful features. The Galaxy S6 edge, particularly, shows unique and outstanding beauty while also providing a solid grip and an immersive viewing experience with the world’s first curved display on both sides. This timeless design required first-of-its-kind glass crafting technology and unmatched quality control, setting the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge apart from every other mobile device on the market. The premium device aesthetics deliver true value and are complemented by a totally new and lighter interface that greatly enhances usability and functionality. A refined and fully optimized user experience simplifies applications and offers features and settings in a more intuitive way.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge is available now at a retailer near you!

It's all about money. Websites make money through advertising links. The more controversial they make their stories, the more hits they get.

Sites like PC Pro aren't too bad. I still trust them to give a review in the traditional journalistic style.

I listen to reviewers I trust on Youtube, you can tell the ones once you've watched for a while as they are objective and review things fairly. It takes time to know the ones which you trust though, I would just go searching randomly.

Mobiletechreview online and on Youtube for example.

It's a bigger problem in some sectors of the media than others. One good example I have seen plenty of is games journalism where developers and journalists collude for each others benefit whilst disparaging anyone who does not fit the (profitable) narrative.

Start getting worried if you start seeing articles along the lines of "Android users don't have to be your audience, Android is dead". Or vice versa.

tghe-retford are you maybe mixing up a journalistic opinion piece / article with something posing as a review?

There will always be those kind of articles, where somebody is simply asking something and putting a case for it and leaving the reader to make up their own mind. That is a little different to a glowing review of something because the reviewer has been paid and had a freebie, that's why I am careful about which reviewers I take notice of and which I choose not to follow or subscribe to.
