No it's not possible. Three was unique in offering unlimited tethering.
You could get EE's 50GB mobile broadband plan. I think it's £50/month for 50GB, which is expensive and not unlimited, but it's the best option if you need mobile broadband and lots of data. Or for more flexibility there is EE 4G Home Broadband which is £25/month for 20GB. There are addons available for £15.99 for 10GB data. |

So, My three plan ends on june 8th, which im gutted about as my broadband is slow and no way to upgrade as no infinity or exchange is too far I'm in a similar position as my local broadband maxes out at 1mbps on a good day, but generally averages 512k, so for the last few years i've been using the one plan until that party ended, as did many other locals.any other providers offering similiar? Unfortunately, if you are on a budget then Mobile Broadband probably remains the best option, and as far as they go, you have '3' and EE offering the same old, same old 10GB and 15GB allowances, and more recently ID Network offering 20GB for £20, which is probably the best deal in this price ballpark, although being new, user feedback on service / speed etc is virtually non existent at the moment. If you use more than data than this, then you'll have to look in the £35 - £50 per month price range, or hope that another EE 100GB x 2 promotion comes along. There have been two in the last 6 -7 months, so *hopefully* it might continue, there is a promotion running at the moment - £10 for 201GB if you want a short term solution for 2 months whilst you consider the options. |

It's another thing to avoid exceeding a specific set data limit every single month, every single year. No doubt the month or 2 you do exceed the data limit it will be well in excess of it because you have little or no access to your home wifi. On a very limited 2GB plan you have to pay an extortionate amount of data to the provider to use 10GB+ in excess in the month. You just can't put a figure to how much data unlimited is. Being ontan unlimited data plan does not necessarily mean you're hammering 50/60/70 GB of mobile internet data each and every month. You can be on an unlimited data plan and consume 1 to 3GB of data per month normally, but unlimited data is a godsend if you really need to use well in excess on the odd month or 2 here and there to save you having to fork out an extortionate sum of money. |

This type of plan (with tethering) doesn't exist anymore.
Although if you're really determined there are always ways to bypass a tethering block. Not that you'll find this information in the public domain though. |

I've just noticed on the ID network Data only plan that you can add texts and minutes to it for an additional cost, either as a one-off or a regular monthly addition. So for example for an extra £3 you can add 200 minutes to the £20 / 20GB Data sim, so for a total of £23 a month you could have 20GB of Data + 200 minutes.
Being sold as a data plan sim originally I would imagine that even with the Add on(s) you can still tether from it, so effectively buy a data only sim, add your minutes / texts to it as required and put it in your phone. Its not ideal, but for those who wish to tether as well as use handset data its still a better option than Three where you are limited to a max of 2GB / 4GB tethering, at least this way you *Should* be able to tether as much of the 20GB data allowance per month as you want, whilst still using your phone for calls / texts if required. |
