EE Tamwar
Is it just me who is obsessed with Tamwar. In tonight's episode his facial expressions told you everything you need to know about the Shabnam situation. And like his reaction to Syed's coming out. his instinctive behaviour in knowing the right thing to do or say when he went and got Kush was typical. His one liners are brilliant most of the time the writers and the actor have got it right, it's brilliant characterisation,

No, think he is boring, has no character development what so ever, he has no direction and will always stay a dullard in the future, if Tamwar ever laughs, all hell will break loose.

Yay, a positive thread about Tamwar.
![]() I think he's a great character. Tonight, I was glad that he stepped in and spoke to Kush. I do like his facial expressions. I'm looking to seeing more of his scenes with Nancy. |

I like Tamwar too. I can't understand why people think he's boring.

I like that DTC's doing something with him. It's about time that he gets his chance to shine. That stuff with Afia was dead boring, his part in the fire storyline was excellent. He has so much potential, but he's been stuck in the background so none of that potential has been exhibited.

I totally agree I think those that don't get his nuances either don't watch carefully, or often enough to understand his understated brilliance in what he does or they just don't have a sense of humour. Love Tamwar keep up the good work Himesh.
![]() in the real world and soap pand it would be might boring if we were all the same |

his social awkwardness and one liners are great. Couldnt agree more. Not everyone has to be a social butterfly and i think they could now develop his character more with nancy bringing him out a little more which we have alreay seen her do. Also with tamwar they could really make him a proper family man and be one of the few soap characters to have a lifelong marrige. I didnt like the first marriage i dont think that should have happened at all so second marrige to be life long. |

Himesh is playing himself, if you look at his backstage video's he has Tamwars personality.
![]() His attitude on The One show some time ago was just appalling. He sat there, WITH his shirt done up to the top button (like Tamwar) and his body language spoke volumes. He honestly thought he was some great thespian of esteemed quality and seemed to look down his nose at the presenters and the questions. It was actually embarrassing to watch. He also appeared "put out" that he was being asked questions with the pompous blinking and eye-rolling. ![]() He is a joke and the sooner Eastenders sack him or "decide not to renew his contract", the sooner he will realise what useless joke of an ahem, actor he is and how in reality, all he did was get lucky. ![]() Awful character. Awful personality.

I like Tamwar and his scenes so far with Nancy have been enjoyable. I like his one liners and his honesty. I liked his scenes when he was self conscious about his burn scars. I think he would make a good father if him and Nancy become serious. She will bring out the fun side of Tamwar. I'm likely to be shot down in flames for saying Tamwar has a fun side, but he has, so shoot me! His sense of humour is dry and I like it. I'd like to see him do more with his life.

I can't really tell if Himesh Patel is playing himself or a character but I do find Tamwar funny at times. His awkwardness and one liners are funny.

I absolutely 100% agree - he IS playing himself but maybe even an ever so slightly toned down version. I cannot stand this guy. I think he is plain, boring and seriously overrated. How people can find sullen, moody petulance "funny" or "entertaining" is beyond me and I'm saying this for both the character AND the actor.
